It feels like a mix of Terraria, Minecraft, and Stardew Valley, but with its own identity. The gameplay loop is simple yet addictive: explore, gather resources, upgrade your gear, defeat bosses, and slowly expand your base. One thing I really love is the art style. The pixel art looks fantastic, with plenty of charm and personality. The lighting effects, biomes, and creature designs make exploration feel rewarding, and every new area has its own unique atmosphere. Another highlight is the base building. Building and organizing your underground base is surprisingly satisfying. You can create farming areas, crafting stations, storage rooms, rail networks, and more. Combat is fun, though not overly complex, and boss fights provide a good challenge. Exploration is probably the strongest part of the game. It's one of the best indie sandbox games I've played in recent years.
Its addicting. Easy to play on a laptop. Would be good if there were more measurable goals for achievements
Excellent game to play with friends. The bossfights are amazing visually and gameplaywise, and the build options are fun, even though equipment progression is slow.
Core Keeper is a cozy mining game where you go in for “just a quick look” and come out the other side owning an underground empire, several emotional support worms, and absolutely no memory of the sun. 10/10
