Tentative recommendation. Get it on sale. It's exactly as it looks, but with no real time constraints unless you're abysmally slow, little to no penalties for being only partially correct, and upgrades that you'll max out by halfway through the campaign. I do appreciate being able to turn off the slow-mo cam on the sniper rifle, as after you've seen it enough times to get the highest achievement for it, it just gets annoying. Normally I like to try to 100% games like these, but I can't bring myself to try for this one. Maybe sometime in the future I'll come back to it, but for now, it just feels like a slog.

I feel like they tried to do too much I love the base game idea but I dislike all the other stuff it doesn't feel like a border guard game due to the many other aspects and challenges of the game, which I feel is also just makes it more repeat and repeat the same stuff just with a slight different mission. I would of probably liked this game more if the focus was purely just a border guard simulator with more details and challenges within the same area. I think the idea is there but has been over expanded too far and I also dislike the driving in the game it just feels off and a pain.

Contraband Police gives you the thrill of checking people's documents with a little of that first person shooter magic sprinkled in. I might have played just shy of 60 hours, but I assure you that this game was well worth my time. the main campaign takes roughly 8 hours. Before you ask, yes I did spend 51 ish hours playing the endless mode. No i dont have a problem, i can quit whenever I want! But seriously, once you get through the main campaign and you become a confident border patrol officer, the extended mode offers a great way to shut off your brain and just inspect to your hearts delight. I made it a personal goal to make it 100 inspection days before finally hanging up the towel. The game is worth it on sale. it's worth it full price. Will it blow your mind? Is it the next Halo: Combat Evolved? Nah. Is it going to be worth your time? I promise the charm of rejecting "Russians" from re-entering their country due to a broken tail light never gets old. So yes, fellow gamer. Play this game.
