I'm not a big puzzle fan, but I do like zombies. This is a decent mix of the two.
Bon petit jeu.

This is a by-the-numbers "puzzle" game that isn't executed terribly well. It's basically all timed, just trying to eliminate the zombies currently on the field by surrounding them with a single type of survivor, but because it's just a time thing with no action limits it really has no puzzle aspect to it, barely even strategy. This is definitely an Indie game, but even for indie this feels unpolished, with muddy audio and a constant annoying heartbeat thrown in just to try to artificially induce adrenaline to achieve their target excitement without the effort. The campaign is just one line of text between short boards, which manages to be both uninteresting and really, really dragged out. Honestly, this game just doesn't feel at all worth it, even for $5.
Extremely fun puzzler with a good sense of humor. Takes a minute to get the hang of things (learning how to set up combos), but once you learn it and how to unlock all the different items, it becomes a FANTASTIC experience where you will be mowing down zombies
Containment: The Zombie Puzzler - Short-lived Fun Review: Containment: The Zombie Puzzler offers a unique twist on the puzzle genre with its zombie-themed gameplay. However, my experience with the game left me wanting more, resulting in a lackluster 2/5 rating. While it provides a brief burst of entertainment, it quickly loses its appeal and fails to incentivize continued play. One of the most disappointing aspects of Containment: The Zombie Puzzler is its short length. I managed to complete the entire game within a mere 30 minutes, which left me feeling unsatisfied and underwhelmed. The lack of content and depth prevented me from fully immersing myself in the game and exploring its potential. Moreover, the game did not provide enough motivation for me to continue playing beyond the initial completion. The absence of compelling achievements or unlockables diminished the replay value significantly. It felt like there was no reason to invest more time into the game once the initial objective was achieved. While the core puzzle mechanics in Containment: The Zombie Puzzler are engaging initially, they quickly become repetitive and lack the necessary complexity to keep players engaged in the long run. The lack of variety in puzzle types and the absence of new challenges hindered the overall experience. It failed to evolve and offer new surprises to keep me hooked. Visually, Containment: The Zombie Puzzler adopts a simple and minimalist art style. While it may be appealing to some players, it does little to captivate or impress. The sound design is equally unremarkable, lacking the impact and immersion that could have enhanced the gameplay experience. In conclusion, Containment: The Zombie Puzzler offers a brief burst of puzzle-solving fun but falls short in terms of content, replay value, and overall depth. Its short length and lack of incentive to continue playing hinder its potential for prolonged enjoyment. While it may serve as a casual distraction for a short while, it fails to provide a truly captivating and engaging experience. Rating: ⭐⭐ Short-lived Puzzling: Containment: The Zombie Puzzler offers brief entertainment but lacks depth, replay value, and long-term engagement. It may serve as a momentary diversion but fails to provide a lasting and compelling gameplay experience.
Pretty bad, I played through it after going through my library a bit to check what games I haven't played yet, but this was just underwhelming for a puzzle game. The "story" (if one even goes so far as to call it that) is just text you can read while the camera slowly moves from level to level and bloats the length noticeably if you play it all at once, not to mention the text itself is something you could come up with if you took a course in "How to make a barebones zombie plot". The puzzles were bland gameplay-wise with how you just keep swapping units to surround zombies and the power-ups you get are extremely effective while you pay no attention to how many humans you hit. The only interesting part about it was some still image of some dinosaur being utilized in a war setting that was projected on a movie screen and the fact that this game has seemingly more humans than zombies when it's usually the other way around.
