If you are looking for a DND type experience, this title is a mixed reward. Why? Turn-based combat system Hexagonal movement Magic casting Storytelling Online Multiplayer Why not? No player character depth Single-path story Small world Limited customization
Game looks like something I'd really enjoy, but there are no options at all. It opens in a window that cuts off some of the UI and *there are no options to change anything*. Sadly, I cannot play it or recommend it. Dev said on the forums 7 years ago they were considering adding some graphic options, but obviously they didn't care enough to let players actually see the game.
Very heavy on the reading, but combat can actually be challenging on harder settings, and outcomes in the RP sections of the game are not always obvious. Solo play can feel boring, but the game really shines with multiplayer (if you have friends who want to play it--but again it does require reading). Lastly, there is a way to single play multiple characters in a party, but the game is a bit obtuse about how to set it up. Check forums. Overall, if you like this type of game, it's well done, but you will know if you like this genre. Very classic story-driven RPG with highly tactical combat, strong RP elements and lots of story. 8/10 overall. Recommend playing if you like the genre or are a strong fan of hardcore role playing.
Playing through with a few Pathfinder friends and we all seem to be enjoying it. Simple game play and the ability to take turns in any order make the game super friendly to the turn based online experience.
Great low impact Turn-Based Strategy I co-op Play By Mail. Jump in for a few minutes or for hours. I like the painterly art, and music, and there is plenty of depth considering the overall simplicity in game design. A sort of minimalist group adventure that leaves you with a satisfying table-top RPG experience. The story is fantastic, with group-vote conversation trees that help to involve the players via "chose your own adventure" style dialogue and descriptions ( but you can click through if you are a boring date). Cheap at twice the price, get a copy for friend who has no time to play games but wishes they could. You can play in Browser.
A great game played with friends.
Gameplay: 7/10

Graphics & Sound: 5/10

Narration: 6/10
✔️ Unique asynchronous turn-based RPG gameplay, allowing to play it on multiplayer at any rhytm. ✔️ Interesting tactical possibilities. ✔️ A somewhat intriguing story and setting. 💭 The build system is interesting in its approach but pretty poor. I would have loved more content to play with. 💭 Very little actual choice in the narration. The players have choices, but most of them actually only have short-term consequences. 💭 The key artworks are nice and creative, but the rest is pretty bland. The game would have benefited from more visual coherence and better interface art. I recommend this game if you want to experience a unique way to play a multiplayer RPG. It is rough and could be improved upon, but it also implements some great ideas I would love more game to inspire from. Wish it was more like D&D and not it's own thing. It is really hard to get invested in it when literally everything is new. The controls are slow and the visuals get boring very quickly. There isn't really anything in this game that stands out to me.
