Command: Modern Operations is the next generation in cross-domain modern wargaming. It enables you to simulate every military engagement from post World War II to the present day and beyond. The scale is primarily tactical/operational, although strategic scale operations are also possible.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Game consantly crashed when starting missons. It was simply unplayable on main and beta branch, only legacy worked. Tried several fixes and nothing helped.
Tysm simulator, worth every cent, this game is so detailed and beautiful you can spend a lifetime learning it.
Amazing depth, realism, challenges, and variety. This simulator is difficult, but worth the time. Due to many people saying there is a challenging learning curve, I waited 2 years from when I wanted to buy it until I did. Big mistake. There is some stuff that takes time to learn, but its completely manageable without additional support. I fully recommend this for anyone interested in the genre. The scope is immense, and the opportunity endless. You won't be disappointed. One thing to note, especially with the price, is that there is a ton of additional content from the DLC that you may want to investigate before purchasing to ensure you get the experience you desire. This is not to say that there isn't enough content in the base game, but be prepared to get a DLC or two, they're totally worth it!
Very complex game for any military enthusiasts planning to invest a huge amount of time in getting into the details of modern warefare. Be aware: Getting into the game and understand the HMI of C:MO takes some time!
Most realistic Military War Strategy sim out there. Steep learning curve, but of course there is, due to the complex nature of the today's military conflicts.
The game really helps you out especially if you want to keep abreast with modern military related discussions and news, the Russo-Ukraine conflict is a great example where this sim makes understanding the nuanced details of everything military easier instead of being bombarded by random acronyms that goes straight into one ear and out the other, this game allows you to visualise everything better, you actually get to know and see what does what and how far (declassified / guestimates) etc.
This is much more a simulation than a game. The database itself is nothing short of amazing. The database contains almost every ship, aircraft and weapons platform from around 1947 to the present. This is one of those rare "games" where you can play it and actually learn something about the real world and sometimes history. You don't get a pretty view of the action when you play, but the format allows for way more content than would be possible if it was necessary to include visuals of ships and aircraft. The number of scenarios, linked campaigns and very good user made content is huge. This is an easy buy recommendation if you enjoy this kind of simulation.
