I want to start off by saying that as a person that loved Game Dev Tycoon, I find this game very fun. But therein lies the problem. This game is an incredibly cheap copy of GDT, feels very rushed/a cash grab, and is full of bugs and almost game breaking issues. Also, for as simple as a game this is, my PC gets unusually hot while running it. Making me wonder if the reason this game is so buggy and incomplete is because the developers just threw it together as a cover for a crypto miner.
Stopped updating in 2020. Game largely unfinished, buggy, and full of typos. If it was free it would be a rip off.
I love this game but I haven't been able to be in a movie yet despite the popularity of my characters
Not much of a tutorial and scroll bar is broken, have to scroll so long to get to the bottom of screen. Even if you have 2 characters in your comic...unless they fix this, do not recommend this game
Really bad, the game isn't fun and appears more like a school project than a commercial release.
just purchased and can't even play it. as soon as i choose character gender it removes the character type. so... its impossible to play as it will not let me move forward.
good
There is a Gem of a game here lying inside but it needs a lot of improving. Which it’s getting from the developer who promises a lot of changes are coming. You can buy the game now & put it aside until improvements, or you can wait for them. Review will be updated accordingly.
I can't recommend this. It feels like its running in slow motion. Overall on paper this sounds like a game that would be right up my alley. I liked Game Dev Tycoon, and it has similar mechanics to that. I like comics so the topic is on par with a topic I'm interested in. You gain points towards the different elements you assign to the story with the slider much like in Game Dev Tycoon. However they go so slowly up to the project that a lot of times you earn 4 or 5 points but the production time ends before it can be assigned to your comic project There are areas where you can type character names, and backgrounds. But Characters are super limited. On top of that writing that stuff does pretty much nothing as when you write a comic, it doesn't carry anything over with the created characters other than the name and archetype villain, hero, etc. You have to re-select them as the hero, villain, love interest, supporting role, etc. When creating the characters if you accidentally hit villain or love interest there doesn't seem to be a way to deselect that. The game also only allows you to add 4 characters to a story, I only ever tried to add 3 characters to a story in the time I played... I know it has a 4 character limit, because at one point it yelled at me that I could only have 4 characters while I had fewer than 4 characters in the story. When you add characters you again have to reassign them roles within the story. You have to scroll through the characters you added. The scroll function is painfully slow. Easily 5 minutes of scrolling with only 2 or 3 character blocks.
