Easy to Play hard to Master.
I had all of the Combat Mission games before they came to Steam so I have many more hours played than Steam will show. This is one of my favorites in the series. The game is about realism and attempting to show what the units were really capable of. It's an amazing sight to see a direct hit on a Stalin tank go bouncing into the air. You can play the newer games in either WeGo or real time. I've always preferred the WeGo system that forces you to plan your moves without always knowing what the enemy has awaiting you.
Best wargame series ever!
Most realistic tactical shooter out there. Minor issues, like CQB not well modeled inside buildings, and people exposed in turrets dies like flies (not realistic, actually they are very difficult targets to hit in combat conditions).
Very good 1943-1945 Eastern Front game. Covers everything from the USSR to the Balkans to Poland and Germany, including partisan combat
Yes it basically still has the original engine and yes it should be updated but it remains THE best tactical WW2 game in 3D including calculating angles on the strikes of anti-tank rounds vs RHA thickness and determining whether it would penetrate or bounce off. Have played since the original Combat Mission and this does a good job bringing that back.
The BEST AND THE MOST REALISTIC WW2 Strategy game EVER MADE hands down. Have been playing it for years
I have had the trial version of CM:RT for quite some time but have now bought the full game. I am enjoying and it makes me wish for Matrix to produce Combat Mission versions to cover the period from mid-1941 through mid-1944.
Great series, cant wait for CM3
