Very solid game with quite a lot of content already.
Decent twin stick shooter with an emphasis on infighting. All the enemies can hurt eachother with their grenades and lasers and missiles, and often times it will be easier for you to arrange for the enemies to hit eachother than to shoot them yourself. Enemies drop powerups and health that disappear after a short time so the game is constantly trying to tempt you to dive into the middle of a pile of mobs, but being able to assess when to close in and when to simply let an explosive situation solve itself pays off. The early levels are a bit slow but it picks up as you descend through the facility, with dozens of different enemies on screen at once. None of the enemy attacks are unavoidable however, so if you get hit then it's legitimately your own fault! Most of the more dangerous things have "pre fire" warnings, so it's mostly about being able to (very rapidly) figure out where you should stand before the attack goes off. The game calls itself a roguelite, but I'd say it's very "generous": if you die during a mission, you lose any loot you picked up and any temporary powerups you've collected, but skill points and your equipped gear are kept. The difficulty to survive through a mission can get fairly high but it's not structured to take away hours of play time if you go down. As far as technicals, I haven't had any crashing. The game saves and loads very quickly and I haven't had any save corruption. The controls are crisp and responsive and can be satisfactorily remapped. I did feel like using the V-sync option hurt the frame pacing more than I would have expected, but it also offers a frame rate limiter without V-sync which felt good. My biggest criticism is a lack of variety, I wish there was more mechanically different weapons. There's 3 types of primaries with only subtle differences, 3 types of "specials", and your omnipresent trusty auto-shotgun, but what about alternate guns that use collected Ammo instead of heat meters, making up for it in being more powerful (a rocket launcher for example?). Also wish there was more variety in the levels. The "underground facility" certainly looks good and each level is randomly generated so you will probably never see *exactly* the same thing twice, but it's repetitive. I'd like to see more design for things like brightly lit labs with chemical hazards, bug caves, maybe we put on a spacesuit and go through vac at some point. Still, there's an extensive gear chase, and a little bit of story to uncover as you progress. If you're the kind of person that likes both twin-sticking and loot-chasing, the price is pretty reasonable and it's still getting periodic updates so who knows what might get bolted on.
Шедеар!
Very fun game for the price. Does have a few cons main thing being no sound track as of now which I'm sure will be added at some point. Overall there isn't too much to complain about here outside of some nitpicking. A big plus would be the dev seems fairly active in the forums which is always a good sign.
A blast from the past! If you grew up standing in front of an arcade machine, savagely smashing buttons, wielding twin sticks, and dropping your entire savings into the soul sucking angry red .25 slot, then this is the game for you. You are rewarded for taking risk, trying new tactics, and going ape on anything that moves. The more enemies you stir up the greater those rewards will be. And the LOOT! There is so much of it while the inventory slots are generous enough that I have pages dedicated to new builds that I am leveling up before I need to use them. Crafting is simple and makes sense while the ability to revisit and replay completed areas, on any past level, aids greatly when you require specific levels of parts or materials to finish your items. This instantly became one of my all time favorite games. Edit: I totally forgot about the skill tree. This is one of the best I have used in a very long time. The tree directly relates to the functions and specificities of your build. And, to make things even better, it provides a non-linear path for any custom build. If, for example, you spend your points first on physical damage. As you add to that line of upgrades you will hit nodes that branch off into parallel skills. You can then take advantage of this to directly access more advanced skills found in other paths. This makes leveling so much more rewarding than the typical method of forcing the player to grind out each and every skill from the beginning. Props to the Dev for thinking of this! Suggestions for the Dev: - Materials vs Parts balancing, when destroying junked items, could use a little tweaking. My parts count is in the hundreds while materials generally require some grinding to get just enough for one more level on an item. - Offer some sort of rubric for stats. Or even a hover feature that displays definitions. While Ive figured it out myself, I think it would be helpful for newcomers to this genera to have a page they can reference to gain some understanding of terms. That is all. Great work on this absolute gem of a game!
It is a mediocre game with some tech issues so don't expect much, but did I have many hours of fun for 5$? I sure did!
This deserves better than a "mixed" rating. It's a fun twin-stick shooter from a small team trying new things. There is a lot of potential here and some satisfying, ricochetting gunplay. I like the twist of making enemy attacks work against other enemies.
Bravo au développeur, le jeu est vraiment incroyable . Je le conseille fortement
