Why is this game still up as Early Access? It is abandoned. Last update was on 24 Sep, 2015. It's unfinished und useless.
I was one of the original Kickstarter backers for this game. What you see here is not what was promised. We were promised a free range fighting game where monsters battled in crowded cities and you could use buildings as cover or backstops to ram opponents into, etc. Instead we got this collosal joke of a fighting game. At least I got my wireless controller out of them. Otherwise was money down the drain. I feel really sorry for the guys who spent hundreds to get their characters in the game only to be ripped off like this.

Do not buy this game. The developers abandoned it a long time ago and it's nowhere close to a complete product. Stay away from Sunstone Games. Stay away from Colossal Kaiju Combat.
This game is either a scam or dead in the water, I know some furry was causing havoc with this game so i cant blame the devs if its dead apparently there was a long harassment campaign brought on by one backer who essentially forced the game to be all about his OC. I also read online one of the Devs died of Covid so that could be setting things back too, either way heres my review: Boot up game Think its not optomized or broken so i check for solutions there are none try my own none work turns out you need to wait on a black screen for 20 minutes to get the game to go to the main menu read the game is running off the same engine they used on Godzilla saves the earth.... a game thats like 15 years old now Try to refund game steam wont let me 0/10 very disappointed seeing as all the old monster games i used to play were amazing but i guess Unity is really hard to use and or the furry found all the devs and killed them either way we will never see another giant monster fighting game ever again and its everyone elses fault but mine.
unfortunately its dead. this was made by the same guys who made godzilla destroy all monsters melee, had high hopes since their kickstarter, was supposed to be a ton of monsters... but it turned out to be the launch monsters and launch maps.. literally no progress was made since i purchased it. save your money and go play your gamecube/wii emulator
Promises were made, promises were discarded, I'm sorry Duncan

Listen, this game isn't good and it's clearly unfinished. I'm not trying to be an a$$hole, and I've read that one of the developers passed away. So it's very understandable WHY this is unfinished—but it's still five dollars. There's an awesome concept here and some good designs, but the controls are all over the place, there's no option to change the resolution(which launches at 1366x768 windowed), and attempting to use the "Back" option makes the game freeze for about thirty seconds before kicking back to the main menu. My condolences to the late developer and their family, and my sympathies to the remaining developers. But the fact is the game has been in Alpha for going on seven years—with the last update being in September 2015.
Two words. Dead and Game.
