Cognizer is a simple puzzle game, in my opinion it really seems like one of those games thats easy to learn but hard to master. I would recommend it to any fan of puzzles or "brain teasers". You will know quickly if you like the game or not, so I recommend anyone interested check it out.
This is a very polished game with great game design. I've enjoyed the game a lot on mobile and the PC port works really well, so don't be afraid to get your hands on this great game!

As simple as this game looks, it will boggle your mind and make you feel stupid when making what looks to be easy decisions. I love it and was caught off gaurd by its difficulty. Im in normal mode and after I understood following the rules, I got a little further, but you are fighting time also. I recommend anyone, any age try this out, its fun and free! 10/10
A very small game but has many different, unique modes. Doesn't take long to get good at but takes a very long time to be able to do quickly and efficiently. Overall a very well put together game with very interesting brain puzzles.
Cognizer is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as a cash grab by lazy mobile devs, possibly by mistake. The game doesn't appear on the mobile app stores, possibly because it was rejected due to poor quality concerns. This is a simple tile matching game where you tap on your phone screen to match tiles based on their criteria, colour and the shape of the symbol in each tile. Some tiles must be tapped on to complete the level, but others kill you if you tap on them, based on the index presented at the bottom of the screen. While this is only available on PC and not app stores, it's obvious this was intended as a mobile app, the game tutorial even instructs you to "touch" your screen. I didn't pay thousands of dollars on building my gaming rig so I could pretend it's an iPhone. If you really want to play this kind of game, you can do so for free in a web browser or on mobile phones. There's nothing of interest here for serious, enthusiast PC gamers. This game isn't even free, the mobile devs here have their hands out for a ridiculous $25 USD in donations, this is basically digital pandhandling. The online equivalent of the homeless guys that splash dirty water on your windscreen at the traffic lights with their hand out for a tip.
Developer Response!
The developer has weighed in to inform everyone they didn't read the Developer Usage Rules for Steam "partners", or they deliberately ignored the part where Valve says:
Though it may be tempting, not every review needs to be responded to. A developer response will frequently draw more attention than the original statement, potentially turning a small issue into a much larger community discussion. It's also not a good idea to use this feature to refute customer opinions. Your direct attention can be seen as validation or a defensive attempt to silence your customers.
The mobile developer admits this is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam, which is not a mobile app store. This is somewhat self incriminating, but I've already pointed out this is a trash mobile app that doesn't belong on Steam, and only exists as a cash grab. The developer then chooses to lie about the game being digital panhandling, but it absolutely is a cash grab, the developer wants your money. Here's the link to where the developer expects you to throw money at him because he polluted Steam with valueless mobile app garbage: https://store.steampowered.com/dlc/711690/Cognizer/ I guess rule #1 about breaching Valve guidelines to lie to gamers about your cash grabs is: Don't tell lies if they're so easily disproven with readily available evidence. It's unclear why the developer chose to lie about his obvious, greedy panhandling. I wonder if that's what he writes on the dirty bit of cardboard he waves at gamers at street corners, trying to get their money. Sure, you don't have to put money in the developers begging jar, but my point remains... this is not freeware, it's absolutely donationware, because the developer expects to be paid for this, it's not free. The developer then lies about being sorry for causing inconvenience... that's complete rubbish. If the developer didn't intend to pollute Steam and make gaming worse for everyone by dumping garbage mobile apps on Steam for the purpose of panhandling and begging for money, this mobile app wouldn't have an eyewatering $25 USD worth of empty donations attached to it so prominently. In fact, if the developer didn't intend to inconvenience gamers, he wouldn't have dumped a trash mobile app on Steam at all. This is a classic case of a pandhandling mobile dev putting his own desire for cash far above the needs of gamers and the gaming industry. Nothing in the developers pointless breach of Valve guidelines changes any of the objective facts of my review. My review stands unaltered. I cannot recommend this mobile app to anyone.
Recently I began to enjoy puzzly games and this one didn't disappoint at all as it is based in actual cognitive biases and physical limitations of the human brain. Getting yourself over brain freezes and motor self-contradiction is a lot of fun. Probably more action in half a minute than most action games I know. Get it now!.

Simple game to learn, but a good mental exercise. Although I haven't played it much yet, I can tell that I'm going to enjoy this as a quick to play puzzle game when I just want something to do for a few minutes at a time. I like that there are several different modes, from an untimed 'challenge yourself for a high score' mode, to a fast paced timed mode.
Cognizer has a very simple gameplay and design, but it is extremely addicting and a really good mental challange. Not only is the game good in itself, but the addition of steam achievements really increase the gameplay and replay value and make you a lot more competitive. Overall, for a free and simple game, it really offers a lot! Try it out and see!
