Hospitality VR

There are no VR interactions, you don't need to use your motion controllers at all. There is some replayability because your reactions do effect what happens. I did notice one minor thing difference in my second playthrough, where the light bulb did not explode as it had in my first playthrough. I did enjoy the experience overall. The abandoned hospital looks really good, with a lot of attention to detail. The lighting is also very well done as well as the sound mix. There is good spatial audio here and very good particle effects. Also, this experience does not rely on jumpscares, although there are some. Instead, most of the horror is just from the atmosphere and pacing of the experience. Beware though, this is a slow-paced horror experience that slowly builds tension. However, all is not perfect, I was not a big fan of the character models. They weren't really scary to me. The character animations weren't all that great either. Also, you're seated on a completely empty wheelchair, you have no avatar body or hands. Lastly, there isn't much context to what is happening. You're just kind of thrown into a situation. It ran okay on my 1060 GTX. Started out at 90 fps, but did go down to 45 fps during the experience. Still, it was pretty steady and did not effect the experience at all for me. There were no bugs or issues that I experienced. [b]Rate 6.66/10. Whilst this 10min "experience" did look very visually appealing, I cannot recommend that people pay $4.50 for this. You will find a lot of free ware that has x10 more content that Hospitality VR. It's not a walking simulator because you can't move, you're stuck in a wheelchair. The entire "experience" consists of basically one room with 3-4 doors that open and slam. Occasionally something will come out but i can honestly say that they are not actually scary. They don't jump scare you, they mostly just stand and look straight back at you. A couple of lights may fizzle, it shows some nice fog/smoke effects but THAT IS ALL. Should've been free or $1 max

Be ready for the fright of your life, It had me jumping out of my chair more than once. Worked on my HTC Vive and Oculus Rift S, If you get a black screen, Just wait, It will change. You start the game with the Headset. Little dot you see from the headset, Place on start button and wait for circle to complete. Also learned this is based on actual events. 😲😱🥴 Love it, Thank you

Hospitality VR can't decide what type of horror it wants to use and as a result can't properly scare or entertain anyone. It starts like tasteful slow horror with it's good lighting and realistic environment but ends up showing you poorly made monsters on full display, standing in a bright light for several seconds. That breaks any suspense or immersion that was built before. At the same time, Hospitality VR has very little jumpscares and no screamers, so fans of more direct horror would also be bored by it.

Разработчик честно заявляет в описании, что это не игра. Было бы ещё неплохо сразу уточнить, что длительность экспириенса 10 минут. Раздавай такое бесплатно, может быть и посоветовал с натяжкой, но когда за такое ещё и денег просят, то идите вы лесом...

Since I can't physically go to our fun local haunted houses this year on account of Covid, I figured I'd settle for horror VR experiences. For context of what I was looking for when I picked this up, I just wanted to feel a little terrorized, but in a contained, quick, fun sort of way. That's exactly what this is. Yes I can see how it's not everyone's cup of tea, but if you're looking for just a brief getting-feet-wet horror experience, especially for guests or those who can't stomach something more, I'd say this is great for that. Yes it's short, yes there's not much gameplay, but I mean... for a few bucks, if you've paid more for everything I've described here at your local haunted houses, I'd say it's totally worth it.
