A pretty simple and fun roguelike! Movement is good, cards are pretty balanced (except Parry, which is completely OP), and the mechanics guide you to try out every character. I'd say it's worth the price for the mileage you get out of it.
Good game so far with a variety of cards and playing styles. Sometimes the battles feel a little unfair for particular builds (particularly the tunnel ones), but generally it is enjoyable.

A very charming roguelike deckbuilder. Cobalt Core adds to the formula by having you manage your positioning during fights and forcing you to make tactical decisions based on the available cards and resources. There is depth to the systems and things can interact in interesting ways. Rarely is a fight completely unwinnable and with clever play and patience you can outwit most opponents even with weak cards. Starting every run you choose a crew of three and this crew determines the cards you get. Everyone has a specific style and finding your favorites will take a few gos to find how synergies work. For example I really like Max (exhausting and enchanting cards) + Isaac (drones) to create drone armies. One thing that really made me like the game is the amount of character it has, the music, the, well... characters, the funny writing. The crewmates are bunch of goobers and even though they get blown up over and over in a timeloop, they take it in stride and remain positive. Cobalt Core leans on the easier side of deckbuilders and I won my first five games in a row (of course I say this coming from my Slay the Spire A20 runs...) Some people might take that as a negative and I can understand it. Thankfully there are multiple harder difficulties to choose from if the challenge is not enough on the lower levels. Find your favorite crew combo, scale the difficulty up and see how high you can go! All in all, I really enjoy Cobalt Core and wouldn't mind seeing more of it some day. Luckily this game still has tons of things to see! Recommended for people looking for a bit more chill deckbuilders :)
This game is a lot of fun. There isn't as much depth and variety to the content as there is with something like slay the spire, but the story, music, and artstyle make up for it. One thing I don't love is the balancing of the game. On the easiest difficulty I can still have as hard of a time as I do on the hardest difficulty and it's fully dependent on what cards I'm offered. I can play with the same team composition, ship, and general pathing philosophy, but if I'm offered only damage cards or only shield cards I get screwed over completely. Would recommend, but mostly for the story and the novelty of the gameplay. The humor is also great, and I personally loved it. Shoutout to Peri's second memory unlock, it had me laughing.
If you like Slay the Spire, then you gonna love this.
This game hits too many red flags for me: not convincing in its challenge, forgettable soundtrack, childish artwork, lack of convenience features (undo for deterministic actions). It has its good parts too: the banter seems contextually relevant and sometimes interesting, combining three separate decks as well as card and artifact pools is interesting. But this game just does not have that thing, for example, FTL has that compels you to try again even when its annoying. In addition to the unconvincing difficulty, it lacks suprising non-linearities in the difficulty progression that games like FTL, DCSS and Brogue has. While those features can be annoying, they also make the gameplay much more memorable. This game has a linear difficulty curve with nothing unexpected happening.
I was surprised by how good it is.
