Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 27 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Old but gold classic
GOOD GRAPHICS; REALLY GOOD GAME PLAY TAKES ME BACK TO PLAYING THIS AS A KID
Totalt överväldigande nostalgi för oss som spelade detta banbrytande strategispel på 90-talet. Lika bra som någonsin!
Close Combat 3: The Russian Front is one of those strategy titles that serves as both a game and a historical artifact. Originally released during the golden age of PC wargaming and now available on Steam, it revisits the immense struggle between Germany and the Soviet Union during World War II with an emphasis on authenticity rather than spectacle. Developed by Atomic Games and republished by SNEG, the game places players in command of forces across the Eastern Front, covering pivotal years from the German invasion of the Soviet Union to the eventual fall of Berlin. Even decades after its debut, it remains a noteworthy example of how tactical strategy games can create tension through smart design rather than technical flash. The core gameplay revolves around commanding infantry squads, armored vehicles, and support units in real time across a variety of battlefields. Unlike many modern strategy titles that encourage rapid expansion and constant production, Close Combat 3 asks players to think like battlefield commanders. Terrain, morale, visibility, ammunition, and fatigue all play significant roles in determining the outcome of an engagement. Soldiers react dynamically to the conditions around them, and poorly timed decisions can quickly lead to a collapse in the line. This focus on human behavior gives every firefight an unpredictable quality, making victories feel earned rather than inevitable. Its campaign mode remains the centerpiece of the experience. Players may lead either Soviet or German forces through an extended conflict that spans numerous operations and changing fronts. Units persist between battles, creating a sense of continuity that encourages careful planning and preservation of experienced troops. Losing an elite squad after several successful engagements carries genuine weight, and the game effectively captures the exhausting nature of prolonged warfare. The persistent nature of the campaign adds depth that keeps players invested well beyond individual skirmishes. Despite its age, the tactical systems are remarkably nuanced. The game offers several realism settings that allow players to adjust how much battlefield information is available and how independently units behave. This flexibility makes the experience adaptable for both newcomers and veterans of the genre. However, there is no denying that Close Combat 3 is a product of another era. Its interface lacks the convenience features expected in contemporary releases, and mastering its mechanics requires time and patience. Players accustomed to modern tutorials and streamlined controls may initially struggle with the learning curve. Visually, the game embraces its late-1990s origins with sprite-based soldiers and detailed overhead maps. While it cannot compete with contemporary graphics, its presentation remains functional and surprisingly immersive. Battles leave behind the remnants of war in the form of destroyed tanks, abandoned equipment, and devastated villages, reinforcing the harsh atmosphere of the Eastern Front. The Steam release benefits from improved compatibility on modern systems, allowing a new generation of players to experience the title without the technical hurdles often associated with classic PC games. What ultimately makes Close Combat 3 endure is its commitment to realism and historical immersion. It portrays war as chaotic, costly, and frequently unforgiving. There are no heroic power fantasies here—only difficult decisions and the constant challenge of adapting to changing circumstances. While some aspects have understandably aged, the underlying design remains compelling for anyone interested in military history or tactical strategy. It is not a game designed for instant gratification, but for players willing to invest their time, it offers a rewarding and memorable experience that continues to stand apart from many of its successors. Keeps crashing
I think that this game is the BEST WW2 game of the series. I bought it when it came out originally and I am glad that it made its way to Steam. I have fought the war all the way through as both sides and enjoyed to game. I try to play at least once a week.
