Climatic Survival: Northern Storm

I really wish I could give this game a neutral setting. This game has great potential and I love the potential it could have. It takes everything to boil water. I feel that should be a basic building as every time I played they would die of thirst. It's a neat little survival game. Wouldn't say it's worth $5 since it is very bare of content but it's fun for 20 minutes.

Climatic Survival: Northern Storm is an amateur made low poly top down "city builder" strategy game where you must keep alive in a very cold northern winter by issuing orders and building various structures. A reasonable concept but a terrible implementation. Problematically, the developer boasts about not hiring enough staff with enough skill to make the game properly, and instead, somewhat foolishly, tried to make a game without adequate staff, budget and resources. This is surely a disservice to gamers, who deserve better. Unsurprisingly, this erroneous approach to game development results in a failed technical implementation. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. Climatic Survival: Northern Storm didn't appeal much to the people who own a copy of the game, either. It has achievments, and they show us a very clear picture that the game didn't really capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is simply called "careless", easy to grab, and only around 28 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game, less than half the players. Hardly a success story, gamers just weren't all that interested in the game. Climatic Survival: Northern Storm has an overly optimistic price of around $5 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam.

Lustig triffts - wird bei Eis- Schneesturm leider schnell unfair.

I've always been a bit of a sucker for survival games so I want to like this game but it's controls are janky and feel like they are meant for a phone/tablet (but it doesn't appear to be on the google play store). The tutorial isn't all that clear at times and I think the game could have greatly benifited from some beta testing. As is I diden't really find the game to be all that playable.
