As an XCOM-like, it is quite enjoyable. Pros: lots of Nazi-killing, deciding which targets to stealth-kill and which to save for once the shooting starts, and some fun thematic history woven in. The characterization is just about at the right amount for this sort of game - there are some interesting conversations about the nuances of De Gaulle and the Vichy collaborators. Cons: arbitrary equipment restrictions for the characters, occasional balance issues on some of the fights. Overall, the "base-building" aspect of winning over territories and shopping for new clothes could have been implemented better, but the majority of the time is spent shooting and outflanking Nazis so that's all good.
Overall, I enjoyed my 30-hour playthrough of Classified: France '44.
I liked the WWII resistance theme and enjoyed the background, environments, progression, items, story and characters. It reminded me a bit of Operation Darkness on Xbox 360: Very rough, but worth playing for those that love the WW2 theme or hardcore fans of Turn-based tactics games. I thought the stealth and morale mechanics, mission and enemy variety, customizable skill trees (similar to Gears Tactics), and spray/line-of-fire system added a good amount of depth and strategy to gameplay. I beat the game on regular/normal difficulty and used my Xbox 1 controller. It took a few missions to learn its systems and address its limitations. There are several minor/annoying bugs, clunky mechanics, and missed opportunities, but plenty of good things that make this game absolutely worth picking up on sale. For $9.99, I highly recommend it. Strong 8/10.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I really enjoy your game, but I’m extremely frustrated with the way character controls work when taking cover. For example, when a character is in cover and I press the attack button (1), the character will automatically turn around and attack the truck. I cannot select any other target. My only options are to attack the truck or end the turn. In order to attack other targets, the character has to face the target first. However, there are situations where I don’t want the character to turn around because doing so may require them to leave their cover and expose themselves to enemy attacks. Please consider improving the controls and making them more intuitive and user-friendly. A good example would be Wasteland 3, where targeting and attacking feels much more straightforward. I really hope the development team sees my feedback and considers improving this aspect of the game. Thank you very much!
Similar to XCOM, with its own limitations that invite more interesting gameplay of its relatively short campaign. As your forces fight through the short few weeks before D-Day, every day counts, every choice matters, and even if you think you did well, you might lose the campaign. The game does invite a 2nd playthrough at least, especially if you don't hit a good result by campaign end. It's tougher than it seems, it's fun, it could have more depth, but as it stands, a solid tale of a little explored WWII history through solid tbs gameplay.
Pretty good tactical game, from a small studio. It takes all the codes from similar games (like XCOM), but manages to introduce very interesting new mechanics (like morale and the stealth/ambush mecanics) to make it that much different. The historical settings is also a nice touch. Animations could be better, but honestly, it is better they spent time on their mechanics than on animation. It had been sitting in my wishlist for a long time, and I am glad I finally got it.
