Another great Wizardry-inspired DRPG with a lot of value for the money. Bigger and better than COH 1 in every way. If you enjoyed that, you'll more than likely get a kick out of this one. +Tons of everything: items, classes, dungeon locations, quests +Dungeons are now static locations rather than randomly picked from a pool +BP rerolls don't matter as much +Standardized MP pool makes mages more useful earlier in the game +For whatever reason, I felt like inventory management wasn't as problematic in this game +Works fantastically on Steam Deck with no alterations required; cloud saves are here too despite no store page listing -Random stats at level up still sucks -Mistranslations in some items and skills -Alchemy interface is still cumbersome -I'm not a fan of the complete lack of BGM in dungeons; also why is the party menu music so sinister sounding? -SUPER CRASHY - thank god you can save anywhere and any time because this will kill the game for you if you don't

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I can't seem to put this game down, I am absolutely thoroughly enjoying it. This is a remaster of an older drpg, with all the clunkiness and debatably unfair situations one might find such a game putting themselves in. The combination of cutesy anime portraits and an added save-anywhere function for this remaster smooths all of that over for me, personally however. I'm a pretty simple person in that regard admittedly. You'll make a party of students, each with a unique portait assigned to their specific gender/race/job combination (and the ability to switch said portrait to any of their other available ones in their status screen should you wish), spend an hour or two getting a single scrap of equipment on each of them, and wander through dungeons until you either reach an encounter that randomly generates a huge overleveled horde of those monster you have kind of a rough time taking on just one of, or until you step on a tile that kills half of your party because it removed the traversal spell you put on specifically for that tile because yes they can combine those. Your next step is to either revive them at your base which has a chance of failing so bad it permakills them, or reloading your save you've been making every other step like a pansy. So yeah the latter's what I do. I do think engaging with the game on that level would be a valuable experience of course, if you're up for that, just know that you do always have a safety net there. It really scratches that "wander through a dungeon for awhile" itch though. Thoroughly recommend it, if only because it makes me feel like I'm experiencing some old school rpgs from like, behind some glass or something. Nice and transitionary from something like etrian odyssey. Oh, and a tip, don't go to the witch's woods first. You're gonna be overleveled for the other dungeon the first one gives you access to and the tonguebas are gonna GET you.
Full Review available here: https://treatyourgeek.co.uk/class-of-heroes-2g-remaster-edition-review/ Class of Heroes 2G is the 2009 follow-up to the cult classic original Class of Heroes game, developed for PS3 and now remastered for current systems. It’s a dungeon crawler RPG that offers deep and layered gameplay and is held in high regard by many fans of the genre. With more character classes and more content, will the sequel be what I was promised? Or will I have another bitter pill to swallow? While more of the same, Class of Heroes 2G evolves the formula set by its predecessor and introduces some much-needed quality-of-life improvements that evolve it from something that is “just fine” at best to being genuinely decent, especially for the price. There are hours of fun to be had here, and while it may not hit the highs of other games, it’s certainly an experience I can recommend giving a go. 7/10
I wished I had listened to the other reviewers. At least I got the game on sale... The game looked decent. Personally I don't mind the artstyle and the combat can actually be fun. But the game has issues, mostly fundamental design flaws, that keep me from actually enjoying it. I'll just list a few of them: - Too much RNG. Especially when leveling up characters. At first I didn't pay too much attention to it which was a mistake. There seriously was a point at which my Bahamoon Warrior (the tankiest character you can build in the beginning) had less HP than my Elf Sorcerer. Constantly paying attention to your exp and reloading when you get a low roll is not fun. - From what I've seen the only means of fast travel on the world map is buying a ticket for 10.000 gold. Which is a lot of money in the beginning. If you enjoy travelling through the first dungeon (and possibly others) a million times to get back to the academy then this game is for you. - The alchemy system. It's as if the developers brainstormed how they can make crafting as tedious and uncomfortable for the player ad possible and then implemented everything they came up with. I don't have the patience to go into details, just know that crafting in this game sucks, big time. There's more but these are mostly the things that made me drop the game.
