This improves on its predecessor in all ways. Progression is more linear, and progression isn't just controlled by money. You need to collect specific resources to upgrade your mech and install buildings in the mines. Quality of life stuff too, like being able to store ores in the bank and permanent teleporters without cooldown. The art style still suggests this is a microtransaction or AI slop game. It's not, so don't be scared off by that. The gameplay is consistent and not ruined by combat or other mechanics that need reaction speed. Except perhaps the treasure minigame, but that's completely optional. It's 100% playable with a controller but it feels like it was added at a later point, it takes a lot of key presses to navigate some screens, but you never need to reach for a keyboard. There are small bugs, you will set off bombs when pressing X to deposit materials into a building. A separate volume setting for the engine sound would be nice, it's a constant loop that plays all the time and it gets old quick. The game only lets you mute ALL the sounds effects. I fixed it myself by replacing sfx_mech_engine.ogg with one containing only silence. Of course, this game is very cheap, even when it's not on sale, considering how much time I've been playing this, it's been well worth it.

22 Std. für 100%, DLC unnötig. Der DLC: - Keine Interaktionsmöglichkeiten mit dem Hauptspiel, eigene Mineralien, eigener Mech, kein passives Mitleveln des Haupt-Mechs möglich - Sehr schade und langweilig. - Die Story ist wirr und leider sind die Dialoge verbuggt, so daß ich manchmal Dialoge abbrechen mußte, was somit auch die Story des DLC zerstört hat. DLC-Fazit: Nicht kaufen! Hauptspiel: - Geiler Zeitverbrenner mit wenig Hirn, wer den Inhalt des Trailers mag, kann zuschlagen. - Deutlich komplexer als der Vorgänger, aber man kommt mit der Zeit rein. Es wird nicht mehr nur mit Geld gearbeitet, sondern mit dutzenden verschiedenen Mineralien auf 3 verschiedenen Welten inkl. Naturkatastrophen. Schön, schön, schön. - Einige Bugs im Controller-Interface (unerreichbare Buttons, sehr ungünstig belegte Knöpfe, etc.), die Maus muß das dann immer richten. - Grausame Sprachausgabe, habe sie nach dem zweiten Satz komplett stumm geschalten - ist eh nur wieder infantiler Schwachsinn, so wie schon im Vorgänger. Multiplayer: - Zwar vorhanden, aber da ist niemand zu finden und wenn man eins Hostet, ist auch kaum jemand da. - Liegt wohl daran, daß man den Spielfortschritt nicht mitnehmen kann. - Bauwerke lassen sich gegenseitig ohne Einschränkung zerstören, was Trollen sehr entgegen kommen würde (wären welche da). - Neue Erfolge ploppen plötzlich auf, da diese nicht zwischen dem eigenen Hauptspiel und dem des Host unterscheiden können. 7/10 Punkte

Es ist ein gemütlicher 2d-Buddel-Grinder -Prima für zwischendurch ! -Gehirn-Yoga (Halbschlaf-tauglich) -Easy 100% Achievos (~24h) -Es gibt verschiedene Stats zum Leveln -...und Dinge zum freischalten. -Etwas Story gibt es auch. WARNUNG: Das DLC ist Cool aber...naja, leider doof. Es hat unverständlicher Weise keine Verbindung zum Hauptspiel ! Gesammeltes Geld aus dem Hauptspiel usw. kann man allerdings nutzen... (Keine Achievements) Also ohne DLC, fast nichts verpasst...
Got it to play co-op with a friend and they somehow made Motherload a 20+ year flash game mechanically worse/more boring and filling it to the brim with the most annoying "jokes" ever
Played for an hour or so....was kinda over it...realized it could probably be an ez farm for the 100% trophy; only reason I persevered. Cringe dialog, boring gameplay, no reason to explore anywhere, yada yada yada. 4.5/10 Would not recommend
Of all of the "Just one more run" games, this one was probably the worst for my sleep cycle! Just one more run always ended up being at least another 30-60 minutes, which would fly by in an instant. If you enjoyed the first game, you'll love this one, as the QoL changes made in this one were amazing.
