Arte hecho videojuego.
I would say dont get your hopes up, but regardless its going to blow you away.

After playing several hours of Clair Obscur this did hit me on several levels, i will try to address them all. Being an oldschool FFVII gamer it brings back a lot of what was good with the game namely an awesome world map and exploration to the forefront, which is something i do miss a lot in recent FF games. It has a great story and soundtrack focused on classical music and seems like the perfect marriage of soulslike enemies coming from the dark fantasy world of the likes of Alex Konstadd and Final Fantasy. It did strike a cord because it is very close to home being the main theme art and painting. Furthermore it is an european endeavour and certainly deserved the GOTY award. A white glove slap to Square that unfortunately got carried away to a fanbase of idols and left what really mattered back in the past.
Could have been the greatest game ever for me. But alas it was to long and didn't know when to stop. I thought i reached the end, but no. It continued. Really overstayed its welcome. 25 hours in i loved the mechanics, the art style, everything. By the end of the 30+ hours it took for a play through i changed to story difficulty cause i just wanted it to be done. It was absolutly not fun and the the drag out fight and cut scenes... I think the developer had a lot of emotion invested in the game so they really wanted it to have a conclusion, i just wanted the credit to start rolling... The music is still one of the best, the art style, the combat (before end of act 2 and act 3) it was really great. The developer is on to something different and fun, hopefully they make it crispier and more tight and let the gamer game not watch cut scenes (and fights that drags out to the 30 min mark and beyond).
Gioco Eccezionale. Vincitore GOTY 2025 e tanti altri premi.... ho detto tutto
