Maybe the best game I've ever played.
"Dim-dim-dam-dada, dim-dim-da-dada, dim-da-lilam Dim-dim-dam-dada, dim-dim-da-dada, dim-da-lilam"
The hype is real
great game
If aliens invaded earth and told us our only chance of survival was for them to like our best game, I would recommend this game.
Expedition 33 is the best game I have played since Red Dead Redemption 2. The story is incredible, the art and music are amazing, the gameplay is great, and there is a ton of content. Easily in my top 5 favorite games now.
one of those rare pieces of art that makes you reconsider how storytelling functions as a medium. people talk about "the plot twist(s)," but there isn't really any twist here so much as a gradual unfolding into something greater than the sum of its parts. i'm a sucker for art about art, and that's exactly what this game is, packaged into a tight jrpg and elevated by a narrative that ultimately astounds in its simplicity. go in blind, and you'll have one hell of a time.
