Bad port. Veeeeery bad port. Also the game itself isn't all that great.

This port is absolutely atrocious. Terrible gamepad recognition, constant severe flickering in full screen, crashes, save file issues - it feels like the port received no testing whatsoever.

If you love it, you love it~! but the second one is twice as good.

ネオジョンまでクリア済み。 画面解像度が「default(すごく小さい)」、「enlarge(小さい)」、「Full-screen(全画面に引き伸ばし)」の3種類でマウスドラッグで大きさが変えられないのが痛い。デュアルディスプレイの場合はフルスクリーンにするとゲームを表示していない画面も大きさが切り替わっちゃうので実質マルチディスプレイが使えなくなる。 日本語非対応だから英語が苦手なら自動翻訳ツールを使ったりストーリー飛ばしたりすればある程度はなんとかなるけど、魔装陣は「覚醒」や「ふういん」など見てもわからないものが多いから大人しく攻略サイトなどで確認するのがストレス少なくて良いと思う。 コントローラは未対応だけど、Steamのプロパティ→コントローラから設定すれば使えます。 元々がSteam移植初期の作品でPSPだからしょうがないんだけど、いかんせん遊びづらいと思う。 お目々痛くなったりストレス感じるなって思ったら諦めてクラシックダンジョン戦国かX3の方で遊びましょう。 OP曲：いとうかなこさんの「Call of the Dungeon」目当てに買うよ！っていうのは全然ありだと思う。

As I loved Legasista on PS3, this is the closest I found on steam, as Legasista is not available (it's on PS Now however). I prefer the art of Legasista, but the pixel art pf Cladun x 2 is good too. I enjoyed the game and mechanics as much as I did with Legasista.

Was able to play this game for an hour or so a while back and had fun with it. Wanted to come back to it now but I can't play it at all. The lack of controller support for what was originally a PSP game is bad enough, but even the keyboard controls won't work. The cursor instantly snaps back to its original position any time I try to move it. There was also an odd screen flicker issue when running the game in full screen mode, but I was able to find a fix for that. Despite my efforts, though, I couldn't find a way to get the controls to work at all.

Cladun X2, developed by System Prisma and published by NIS America, Inc., is a deliberately old-school action RPG that builds its identity around customization, repetition, and a steady loop of dungeon exploration. At first glance, it presents itself with a modest, retro-inspired appearance, but beneath that simple exterior lies a surprisingly dense collection of systems that reward patience and experimentation. Rather than focusing on a strong narrative hook, the game leans heavily into mechanics and player-driven progression, making it feel more like a sandbox for character building than a traditional story-driven RPG. The setting revolves around a strange realm known as Arcanus Cella, where characters arrive with little context and gradually piece together their purpose through brief conversations and dungeon runs. The story is intentionally light and often delivered with a humorous tone, serving more as a backdrop than a central focus. Most of your time is spent diving into compact, top-down dungeons filled with enemies, traps, and loot, with each run contributing to your overall growth. The structure is built for repetition, encouraging players to revisit similar environments while steadily improving their capabilities and refining their approach. Combat is fast and responsive, relying on simple inputs that allow for quick attacks, evasive movement, and basic positioning strategies. While the mechanics themselves are not overly complex, the challenge comes from managing multiple threats at once and navigating confined spaces without taking unnecessary damage. The pace of each dungeon run is brisk, making it easy to play in short bursts, but the sheer number of stages and variations ensures that the experience can stretch into much longer sessions for those who want to fully explore its systems. Where Cladun X2 truly distinguishes itself is in the depth of its customization. Players are given a wide range of options when it comes to creating and developing characters, from choosing classes to allocating stats and equipping gear. Beyond these standard RPG elements, the game introduces unique systems like the Magic Circle, which allows secondary characters to act as support units that enhance your main character’s abilities. This system adds a layer of strategy that goes beyond simple stat management, encouraging players to experiment with different configurations to find the most effective setup. Additionally, the inclusion of a pixel editor lets players design their own character sprites and equipment visuals, adding a creative dimension that is rarely seen in games of this scale. Progression is closely tied to grinding, and this is where the experience becomes more divisive. The game constantly provides rewards in the form of experience points, equipment, and unlockable content, creating a strong sense of momentum. However, advancing through tougher challenges often requires repeated dungeon runs to build up strength, which can feel repetitive over time. For those who enjoy experimenting with builds, collecting gear, and steadily improving through repetition, it can be deeply engaging. For others, it may feel overly demanding and lacking in variety.
