Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword

The best Civ game so far. The AI offers a challenge even on middle difficulties. Turns are calculated much quicker with higher player count than in the newer games.

Playing with the BTS Master of Mana mod. Oh man, this is really good. Lots of interesting mechanics to figure out and quite a blast so far. I like how every faction seems distinct visually and in playstyle. Another plus: turns don't take forever like a lot of my more 'modern' games.

It never gets old . I love it , thousands of adventures over the years .

what is there to say, a classic, well balanced, rules make sense, killer music, decent graphics, leonard nimoy, expansions are good. just overall 10/10

Hardest game ever. It's impossible to even get past the title screen because otherwise the music would stop playing.

Many of the games present unique challenges.

I come back to playing this game after being disappointed with Paradox Interactive titles. I feel they scratch a similar itch but Civilization IV honestly probably is the peak of accessible strategy games.
