As someone who's not a big racing game enjoyer besides the occasional mario kart with friends; I enjoyed this game overall. The cars are fun to drive and the mechanics are fun. Though the races do get repetitive over time while playing through the campaign and free DLC's. I played it excusivly on my steam deck and it worked great on it. It was enjoyable having my kid sit next to me and pick which car I would use for each race. Overall a great and fun game. But I would wait till it's on sale unless you are a true racing game enjoyer
good baby's first arcade racer (im baby) Could've used more music variety in races
Honestly, one of the best arcade racers ive played in years. As someone who heavily prefers arcade racers over sims, this game is exactly what I needed. Need for speed has been my go to racing franchise since the 90s, but with the current state of need for speed being in question, and just the general focus of the racing market shifting more towards sims, arcade lovers dont get as many great games as we used to. This game scratched my arcade itch perfectly.
Doesn't run without Kernel level easy anti-cheat. Not even mentioned on store page
Unplayable. Xbox series X controller disconnects every two minutes, never had a single problem with my controller until I downloaded this. Also, rubberbanding makes the game completely unenjoyable, it's not a challenge or fun, you can have the fastest car or bike going and some monster truck will overtake you after two minutes of nobody being behind you. I despise rubberbanding because it completely defeats the point of even having difficulty levels in the first place. If you're a fan of lazy game design then this game is for you, for me I'm getting a refund.
Game is now unplayable on the Steam Deck since they added EasyAntiCheat from EpicGames. Edit: Works after update The game was great overall and worked well on the Steam Deck 9/10 gameplay & graphics 69/10 Steam Deck Comptability
The game activated the nvidia fps overlay without asking and also changed some general windows hotkeys it seems which are now activated in other games. Super annoying. The game itself, dunno. Ok I guess for the price. Not super creative nor visually inspiring environments it seems.
HOT WHEELS UNLEASHED™ 2 - Turbocharged или спасибо ого ого ого ого ого :D
Steam deck无法启动,明明还拿绿标了呢
Kind of a mixed opinion to start after completely finishing everything the last game had. There's now more vehicle types like bikes, skill trees for the vehicles, tracks use pieces from old DLC in the new campaign on top of the new stuff, dashing and jumping, improved mode variety. I'm struggling to get used to the drift sensitivity and or weight physics, it seems to have changed. There's now bonuses on cars that can be used with specific tracks to benefit them such as, off-road, drifter, swift, balanced, heavy-duty, etc. It's a lot to get used to and it seems to make a decent difference on how well you play the track. After 100%'ing the last game I thought I might be able to do hard mode and I tried using the starting bike but I was failing almost every single drift. I tried using the easier drift upgrade on the '71 El Camino which was my main car albeit the Super Treasure Hunt variant in the last game, but I could barely control the drift how I wanted too. Lastly, I'm not entirely sure the dashing is necessarily a good movement option to add? It's an extremely competitive feature to add and feels kind of annoying to go against.
