About

One of 2022’s most acclaimed indies, the Game Awards-nominated Citizen Sleeper is a Tabletop-inspired narrative RPG set on Erlin’s Eye, a ruined space station that is home to thousands of people trying to survive on the edges of an interstellar capitalist society.
You are a sleeper, a digitised human consciousness in an artificial body, owned by a corporation that wants you back. Thrust amongst the unfamiliar and colourful inhabitants of the Eye, you need to build friendships, earn your keep, and navigate the factions of this strange metropolis, if you hope to survive to see the next cycle.

Inspired by Tabletop Roleplaying games, Citizen Sleeper uses Dice, Clocks and Drives to create a player-led experience, where you choose your path in a rich and responsive world. Each cycle you use the dice you are dealt to choose what to do with your time. Make or break alliances, uncover truths and escape your hunters. Survive and ultimately thrive, one cycle at a time, and sometimes against the clock!

The station plays host to characters from all walks of life, trying to eke out an existence among the stars. Salvagers, engineers, hackers, bartenders, street-food vendors, each has a history which brought them here. You choose which of them you wish to help, and together you will shape your future.

Eventually, you will learn to use your dice to hack into the station’s cloud to access decades of digital data, uncover new areas and unlock secrets. This is your unique power, and with it you can change your future. Corporate secrets, rogue AIs and troves of lost data await those willing to dive into the depths of the station’s networks.

Essen-Arp: to them you are just property, one more asset in a portfolio that stretches across the stars. You are the product of an abusive system, in a universe where humanity’s expansion is marked by exploitation and extraction. Escape the makers of your decaying body, and chart your own path in a richly imagined, deeply relevant sci-fi world which explores ideas of precarity, personhood and freedom.

Citizen Sleeper uses Dice, Clocks and Drives to create a player-led experience, where you choose your path in a rich and responsive world.

Each cycle you roll your dice. Assign them to vast range of actions available on the station. With every action, choose what, and who, matters to you, shaping the lives of those around you, and ultimately the future of the station.

Clocks track both your actions and the actions of others across the station. From becoming a local at the Overlook Bar to protecting a friend from Yatagan enforcers, clocks allow you to track your own progress and the influence you have on the world around you.

Follow drives not quests, allowing you to pick and choose the stories and activities that matter to you. As you do, you will shape your character's five skills (Engineer, Interface, Endure, Intuit and Engage), unlocking perks and bonuses that reflect and change how you choose to live in this world.

Citizen Sleeper now includes all three post-launch DLC episodes FLUX, REFUGE and PURGE, which expand the game and introduce additional characters and locations to Erlin’s Eye in an exciting new late game storyline.
Beautiful and engrossing storytelling. Gameplay is light but serves the purpose of forcing you to make choices which adds very much to the situation your character finds themselves in. Fantastic game.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

神一般的音乐+一流的写作和剧本+很不错的美术+合格的游戏设计 推荐给所有科幻爱好者~
Incredible game. The writing, the music, the art, the gameplay loop... it's the full package. The only people who should avoid this are people afraid of a little text, but they certainly won't be reading this review. That means you, dear reader, have no excuse. Play this.
Citizen Sleeper pairs simplistic and repetitive mechanisms with a downright primitive world view. The game is populated exclusively by moustache-twirling villains and uwu smol beans being oppressed. No moral quandaries. No halftones. No stakes or sacrifices, either. You do the "Right Thing" (tm), thus cementing your position on the "Right Side of History" (tm). And then everybody claps.
the woke propaganda actually somewhat detracts from the game as a whole
Bad writing. This game is "they/them" woke trash. Rather than tell a compelling story, the developer used it as an extension of his own pathological perversions.
its a chill game to play but many of the quests i couldn't complete late game because they were inaccessible and tracking missions didn't help you locate them. It also had slight political propaganda that was pro-refugee and tried to make the player feel bad if he didn't side with flooding the space station with refugees on flotillas. The flotilla was also ran by what looked like a transsexual and a black woman. The game also was very simplistic I feel like i could have an AI create something similar in about a week worth of work.
Citizen Sleeper A narrative-heavy RPG centered around a pre-rolled dice mechanic, timers, and absolutely wonderful writing and deeply evocative character art all paired up with an absolutely immersive and pleasing soundtrack. This, unfortunately; must be a short review, given that the game is almost entirely narrative, and its gameplay approaches something resembling 'Disco Elysium but with more resource management'. Perhaps that is why the gameplay speaks to me as much as it does. See, every 'cycle' of the game (Each day, functionally speaking), your set of five dice are pre-rolled. One to six. It is up to you, then, how you think to best distribute your five dice that cycle. It speaks to me- because it is precisely what normal life *is.* Some days, you wake up, and you are just in a miserable, pained state. You're going to have no energy, and you know it, and sometimes? You just have to go "♥♥♥♥ it, we're phoning it in and only getting some easy stuff done today." And other days? You're up, you're full of energy, and you know you're going to kick ass. And that is why Citizen Sleeper's pre-rolled dice system works so much for me. It feels deeply human, in a game about a robot which has developed an independence consciousness and what it chooses to do with that newfound humanity. (Obviously; there is far, far more story and depth to the main character, but speaking any further would be spoiling it!) The rest of the gameplay mostly revolves around managing a list of resources at the bottom of your screen. Money, medicine, little bits and pieces that other characters need, your own hunger- and it's all compounded with an independent timer mechanic that quite a few quests often have. The timer is- admittedly, very generous, but it's not so generous that you can completely ignore it for more than 2-3 cycles. I find that any quest that has a timer is almost never a massive issue as long as you didn't start the quest starving, injured, and completely broke. The writing- it is absolutely wonderful. Characters feel human, flawed, troubled- they're all trying to live through the often-desperate situations they've been put in, some are struggling; others thrive. Some keep themselves positive even in the roughest, while others wallow in despair and fear. Character writing has genuinely never been as good as it has with Citizen Sleeper. The character art is phenomenal. Practically at a singular glance, you can tell so much about so many of these characters. How they act, whether they're privileged or downtrodden, whether they're friendly and honest; or pragmatic and untrustworthy. Whether they're struggling and wracked with fear and secrets, or if they've got nothing but love for everyone around them. This game is wholly evocative. And the best part? There's Citizen Sleeper 2, and it's just as good- better, even.
