Its a passable game plagued by some unfortunate design choices. Enemies aren't varied. You fight the same handful over and over again. It not really a metroidvania game as there is no real exploration and no power ups besides the temporary special weapons. The range of your weapon is so short you end of having to be right on top of enemies. Which plays into another issue. Some enemies have an acid splash when you hit or kill them so you get hurt by this. This mean some bosses you can't hit more then once on row without having to run away after every hit. Bosses fall into two categories, stupidly easy or cheap as hell. Before I realized about the acid splash I kept dying to a boss over and over even though it didn't look like I was getting hit. Finally, you can't rebind your buttons. To use a special weapon you have to hold UP and Attack. I get that the old Castlevania did it like that but there are more then enough buttons on a controller for special weapons to be their own. Unless its on sale for dirt cheap don't bother.
I would recomend this, I really would... But the saving system bugs piss me off and made me quit. Overall: is not a good game, but still enjoyable , if you have the patience to ignore how bad it is. Besides some bosses, there isnt any real challenge here.
Das spiel ist ganz schick so ähnlich wie castlevania macht sofort ein guten eindruck das spiel wird in 3 chapter durchgespielt eine tolle erweiterung in meiner sammlung
It's a cool castlevania like game Liked the music
This is possibly the worst Castlevania clone, I've ever played. Artwork, animations, and sound are nice, yet game mechanics make this game a major frustration fest, and really should have been fixed before release. Hitboxes literally with attacks feel short, getting hit, or even trying to pick up items. Enemy AI is even more annoying especially with bats, or flies homing in on you. You can even get attacked across other screens, or chased down by bats or flies. Even some enemies will wait till your near or on the same platform as them, with even some enemies doing damage from green blood from them. Boss fights are absolutely busted, and if it wasn't for the quick saves it would have been more infuriating. First game in the trilogy is ok for about two levels till the third part, which you can actually die jumping to high during the bridge section. Seriously how did this not get fixed? Had to tap the jump to avoid instant death due to high jumping, and the boss fight is even worse. Literally the boss only emerges from the ground, if you stand still for about a second. Hitting it also causes it to spawn annoying flying enemies that do a lot of damage, and extra damage due to the green blood left from them. You have literally barely any invulnerability time because of that, which forces you to move back from a flying enemy that is practically impossible to avoid. Apparently you can go back to previous screens to gather orbs, which was the only way to beat this boss with this healing sub-weapon. Even the other two games after the first one does this collection no justice.
This game's inputs are so poorly written that if you quit and try to restart the controller basically won't work. These devs clearly don't know how to write basic DirectInput code. It's pretty sad. Wait for them to fix this before buying. Even basic indie games don't have this issue.
Se siete amanti dei vecchi castlevania e lo trovate in super sconto, allora vi consiglio l'acquisto. Gioco molto breve e lineare, carino niente di più. Voto 5.5/10
seu jogo é uma merda
