Very short, easy story. Worth getting on big sale. Only for genre fans.
A bad hidden object game which is full of bugs and has messed up sound settings.
It's typical of HOG gameplay. I encountered only 2 difficult puzzles. Graphics is OK.
Finished! A fun HOG with some great art, and sadly a couple of major bugs. I had to skip a few of the earlier puzzles because the "interactive" bits didn't line up with the background, making them impossible to finish. I was also unable to take screenshots, and the game crashed during a cutscene near the end (thankfully I didn't lose any progress and could still continue after I reloaded). Still worth playing if you don't mind the issues!
Game breaking bug an hour into the game. Kept crashing in the same spot even after restarting the whole game from scratch. Kinda shoddily made overall. When trying to fix it I discovered every single animation frame in game is saved as a separate jpeg file.
Chronicle Keepers: The Dreaming Garden is a relaxed, fantasy-themed hidden object adventure that embraces the traditions of classic point-and-click puzzle design. Developed by Novaq Games and published by Ultimate Games S.A., the game is clearly aimed at players who enjoy methodical exploration, scenic environments, and gentle puzzle solving rather than fast reflexes or complex mechanics. Its overall structure and pacing reflect a deliberate commitment to accessibility, making it well suited to casual play sessions and players new to the genre. The story follows Kinnat, a young woman whose ordinary life is disrupted when she discovers a mysterious book known as the Chronicle. This artifact opens a gateway to a parallel magical realm where her mother, once a guardian of this world, has been transformed into stone by a malevolent force. The narrative motivation is straightforward and familiar, drawing on fairy-tale conventions of enchanted worlds, cursed guardians, and the restoration of balance. While the plot does not aim for major twists or emotional complexity, it provides a consistent framework that ties together the game’s many locations and puzzle sequences. Gameplay is built around traditional hidden object scenes combined with point-and-click exploration. Players move through a series of hand-crafted fantasy environments, each filled with lists of items that must be located within richly detailed backdrops. Objects are often blended naturally into the scenery, requiring careful observation rather than random clicking. Between these scenes, players collect inventory items that are used to unlock new areas, repair broken mechanisms, or solve small environmental puzzles. This loop creates a steady rhythm of searching, collecting, and progressing that defines the experience. In addition to standard hidden object challenges, the game introduces light logic puzzles and inventory interactions to vary pacing. These include assembling fragments, solving simple pattern or sequence puzzles, and using collected tools in the correct context. None of these challenges are particularly demanding, but they provide enough variety to prevent the gameplay from becoming purely repetitive. The overall difficulty remains gentle, reinforcing the game’s identity as a stress-free adventure rather than a test of problem-solving prowess. One of the more distinctive mechanics is the magical medallion carried by the protagonist. As the story unfolds, the medallion is gradually restored, granting the ability to reveal hidden objects or alternate layers within certain scenes. This feature adds a subtle sense of progression and discovery, encouraging players to revisit environments and interact with them in new ways. While not deeply complex, it gives the game a bit of mechanical identity beyond standard hidden object conventions. Visually, Chronicle Keepers: The Dreaming Garden adopts a storybook fantasy style with colorful, illustrated backgrounds and whimsical architectural designs. Environments range from enchanted gardens and mystical ruins to shadowy forests and arcane interiors, offering visual variety across the adventure. Character models and animations are simple and somewhat dated, but they align with the game’s casual tone and do not detract significantly from readability or atmosphere. The art direction prioritizes clarity, ensuring that interactive elements remain distinguishable even in visually busy scenes. Sound design supports the experience with soft background music and ambient effects that enhance the sense of calm exploration. Voice acting is present in parts of the game, though it is understated and can be disabled for players who prefer a quieter experience. Audio elements rarely draw attention to themselves, instead functioning as a subtle complement to the visuals and puzzle flow. In terms of length, the game offers a modest amount of content, typically completed within a few hours. It does not include extensive replay incentives or branching outcomes, and there is little emphasis on achievements or completionist tracking. This reinforces its role as a self-contained adventure meant to be enjoyed once rather than revisited repeatedly. For some players, this brevity will feel appropriate and respectful of their time, while others may wish for more depth or extended challenges. Overall, Chronicle Keepers: The Dreaming Garden is best appreciated as a gentle, traditional hidden object adventure with a fantasy backdrop and an emphasis on relaxed problem solving. It does not attempt to modernize or radically expand the genre, instead delivering a familiar experience polished enough to be enjoyable within its scope. Players who enjoy scenic exploration, light puzzles, and a calm narrative pace will find it a pleasant diversion, especially when approached as a casual journey through a magical world rather than a demanding or innovative game. Rating: 5/10
the worst hidden object game. unresponsive keys laggy gameplay

This is a fun and colorful game. The green medallion gave it a little extra variety. The only thing I would add would be on the map to show areas with activities.
