Christmas Stories: Hans Christian Andersen's Tin Soldier Collector's Edition

This game is a decent hidden object game based on HC Andersen's stories - however it crashes at the same part every time (near the end - when you have to put the soldier guy together with a flag) and I am not able to finish it. Edit: Just tried it in another computer and nope. Does not work. Until that bug is fixed, I cannot recommend it.

I played with my 6 year old daughter and it was so much to have a game we could both really get into. The story was fun and engaging and the puzzles were challenging enough for both of us :).

So, you have received a message from your Nutcracker friend. Seems his sister and her soldier fiancé just got turned into toys by a wicked Baron. Oh, and the Nutcracker friend is back to being a Nutcracker too. Seems the Baron happened to get his hands on a fixed formerly-broken Rat King wand… Plot is fun, HO scenes interesting, and the minigames fun. Buy in the bundle.

Keeping it simple: Interesting variant of a HOP game. *Very, very pretty to look at. *More puzzles than HOP's, and the HOPs are not the standard kind. *Two short bonus chapters after finishing the main game. *The music is story themed, so it fits very well. (The Nutcracker Suite) *When they give directions, they are not always clear. *KITTIES!!! <3 'Nuff said. Buy on sale. Always, everything, everywhere ...buy.on.sale. :D

After 2-3 minutes it starts lagging to a point where it's not playable anymore. I never had these kind of issues with any hidden object game and i have played a lot of them.

[h2] A Very Fun Sequel to Christmas Stories: Nutcracker [/h2] Christmas may be over, but I wanted to play more festive games before the year ends. So, why not check out the next game in the [i] Christmas Stories [/i] series, which, surprisingly, is a sequel to the first game. Now, this is a lot of fun! With this slight adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s short story, [i]The Steadfast Tin Soldier[/i], the protagonist receives a letter from their good friend Albert asking for our help. A man known as The Baron has taken Albert’s sister, Nina, and turned her, Albert, and Charlie into toys using the Rat King’s old wand. Now, we must team up with them to help save Nina and turn them back into people before midnight strikes. Along the way, we meet a couple other characters, like the local toymaker, Ole Lukoje, a talking mouse named Harry Ratings, and even Hans Christian Andersen himself! Can we stop the Baron and lift the curse that he has placed on the main characters? It is up to the players to find out! Also, the game includes two bonus chapters, though it’s more like one split into two parts. In these, you return to the world of cats, looking into the dreams of two specific cats, Kai and Gerda. This game was very similar to the previous two in the series, with beautiful visuals, lovely music, and various puzzles, but they were all different. Something I really loved about this game was seeing the character of Albert return, being turned back into the Nutcracker. It’s always nice to see what happens next for familiar characters, especially if you’ve grown attached to them. In general, the puzzles were challenging enough but not too much to where it would be annoying. There were a couple that required a little thinking, though. I loved hearing the perfectly fitting music throughout the game, too. Красивая и добрая сказочная история с теплым праздничным настроением. Бонусный контент очень порадовал - две главы с милыми котиком и кошечкой, плюс саундтрек, обои и паззлы. Время, проведенное с удовольствием.

For what it is, it's pretty good.
