One of the best horror games I have played! If you love being chased by a scary train with guns then this is a perfect horror game for you! 10/10 recommend this!
I like silly, bonkers ideas and I do like the weird, disturbed design of charles himself. However, the gameplay is very fetch questy, the gameplay surrounding charles is very "shoot until he run away" and so the horror dissipates with every encounter. There is one thing that matters and it is scrap. NPC dialogue is mediocre at best, mostly revolving around "you here to kill charles? do this fetch quest for me and i give ye scrap." Not every game has to look realistic but this one benefits from contrasting the realistic foliage, lighting and landscape design with an absurd creature. It works well in the horror genre, in the same way those "realistic" images of spongebob characters are horrifying to look at. The main loop is to go collect 3 things. You use those things to start the final boss. That's the game. On the way, you collect scrap which you use to upgrade your own train, along with weapons. It's decently satisfying to do this, though it would have been nice to see a visual change in the car when you upgrade defense or speed. I wouldn't get this game at the $20 is seems to cost. this is a $5 game at most, but I'd only really recommend paying $2 for it, deep in a sale. That's my main gripe. it doesn't have enough content to justify the price tag, and the novelty of the creature wears off quite quickly. But eh, it has a lot of love from some people, if you like this brand of game, perhaps you'll love it.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Its a game you should only ever buy on sale. I had a great time when I played it and personally really enjoyed the final fight with Charles. The game had a decent amount of suspense and I enjoyed most of the little quests even if a lot of them were very basic. BUT this game being priced at $20 a majority of the time is beyond crazy. Its a very simple game and is about 2 hours of walking around collecting the same items over and over with the occasional stealth segment and is extremely easy to complete and even easier if you know what your doing. Should be priced at $5 at most. (I personally bought it on sale for $2 and for that price its reasonable) (Good first horror game for a younger kid).
- MIL VEZES MELHOR QUE GARDEN OF BANBAN. Nota: 7/10 (Feito por um só cara, impressionante.)
Strangely toothless for a horror game, it's a fine enough way to spend a couple of hours.
