One playthrough took one hour. Short but fun. I recommend. Will play more text-based games from now on.
This game has 200 endings (I counted them with the help of Todd Howard). You can end up being killed by an angry mob or you can completely change the course of history and send a woman into space by 415 C.E. Seriously, this is one of the best choose-your-own-adventure I've ever played and I still don't know if I got all the possible endings.
Even for a work written in the genre of alternate history the factual inaccuracy of this game is close to unbearable. There were some good attempts at immersion, but the horrible pacing of the narrative and the horrendous portrayal of characters broke all that could be good in the title. What's worse, many of the choices seemed to be superfluous and led to nothing, the story overriding the player's agency in the most blatant of ways. Perhaps I was expecting a slice of life and not a chain of naive scenes and chunks of anachronistic rhetoric. A clever device was employed in the final chapter, but my version of it quickly dissolved into stale banality.
This game was short, but to be fair it was 3 dollars and there's a vast amount to explore due to it being a choose your own adventure game, so many paths that i find myself excited to explore one after another
A well written and interesting story.
has potential for comedy actually
Simple 10/10 Worth to play and buy!
A nice and short little historical story. 7 / 10
Dette er uden tvivl en af de bedste choice-games. Der er meget stor indflydelse af de valg du træffer og du kan opnå dine mål via flere forskellige metoder.
This is my second-favourite Interactive Fiction. The first is the same author's Choice of Robots. If you like this sort of thing then get this one. If you don't know if you like this sort of thing or not then get it to try; it's a cheap and casual game that you can return to for different story branches and endings. If you know you don't like this sort of thing, what are you even reading this for?
