edit: here we go, another permanent ban from another developer who can't take criticism. how about releasing properly working games instead? what a joke... edit2: he said I'll get unbanned after he calmed down, hasn't happened yet, so can't reply to comments below either (though I don't even understand the question). the forum topic asking questions also got deleted. wasn't started by me, I just provided the answers. looks like he's also the kind of dev who doesn't want any negative but true info to be found out before people buy the game. even more shameful. edit3 (jun11): after the review I kept getting emails from the dev, calling me names, then apologizing, calling me names again, and so on. after a while I told him I'd blocked his email, had enough. he told me to ♥♥♥♥ myself (first time from a dev), then silence. now, a few days later he's emailing me from another address, more name-calling, had to block that too. that's how 'humble' (see comments below) he is. surely this time could've been spent on fixing the game he developed poorly and released in a sorry state, but blaming the review and me for accurately describing the situation is much easier. I have no intention of wasting another minute on him or his games, so hopefully he finds another pastime soon. chloe is a pixely hitman go-like with a bunny. it's not entirely played on boards like that and there are other characters in chloe's toy box, but the bunny is clearly the main draw (and it's not even playable until level 40). don't be fooled by the cuteness on the store page though, this is yet another game developed without any common sense regarding basic pc functionality. it came out in an abysmal state, which is par for the course these days, especially for lazy mobile ports, but instead of pushing back release after learning about the issues, they went ahead and published it as is. I still gave the dev the benefit of the doubt and waited a few days, but even after a patch (which was very minor) there are still barely any settings and controls remain horrible. separate audio toggles had to be patched in (how the ♥♥♥♥ do you release a game without ANY control over the audio?), no volumes, no windowed mode (alt+enter doesn't work), no resolutions, no rebinds, so non-qwerty people need not apply. 72 levels unlocked one by one. the goal is to get every player character to the exits. thankfully, it's not simultaneous movement if there's more than one present, they can do their own thing. it's all turn-based, no timer or move limit, not even a move counter or rating system, but dying is possible if you run into baddies or get killed in other ways. then time to start over because there's no undo either. a hotkey for level reset was patched in at least. excluding undo tends to be a dealbreaker even if everything else is fine, and it's certainly not the case here. most levels are quick and easy, but some are pretty annoying and providing options is always good. besides avoiding moving dudes on set paths and annoying cats (they follow the active player once aggroed), there are more territorial evil toys and some control lethal cannons. bombs activate when moved, vents act as teleports (not just for yourself, that threw me early on), balloons essentially do the same (only for yourself). there's a bunch of other stuff and enemies (including cats) can and have to be killed sometimes, even by each other, which is neat. the toy shop in the main menu offers a few cosmetic-only plain shirts (and nothing else), bought with gold coins collected from harder to reach places (silver is used on the levels they're on to operate the claw machine). unfortunately, level select doesn't mark stages with uncollected loot, though they're only worth grabbing for the extra challenge, not their use, and there's more than you can spend anyway. keyboard controls are horribly inconsistent and non-rebindable. controller might work better but that's not much consolation. arrows navigate the menu, enter selects, fine so far, but esc only goes back from level select, not the toy shop or the visuals menu with a few color palettes for overall looks. only enter can get you out of those places. arrows browse levels on the current page of the puzzle book (level select), z/x to swap pages (how gamepad of you), enter selects (has to be pressed twice sometimes). oh, and f12 opens the dev console, clearly prepared for a steam release. there's a mouse cursor but clicks don't do anything, of course, and the cursor never goes away. in fact, the game runs in a borderless window that can't be resized, so can't even move the cursor off-screen, as it just changes to a resize cursor. controls while playing are mixed up yet again. arrows still work for movement (can't hold to move more), wasd pans the camera (let go and it resets), 'i' for instructions on all the mechanics in the game with no punctuation, and arrows swap pages instead of z/x from before. 'h' is for level-specific hints (also lacking punctuation, sometimes mentioning tapping in a pc game), 'z' is character switch, 'x' to interact with certain things that aren't just pushed, 'c' for doing mechanic-specific things. for the billionth time, keyboard and controller buttons aren't the same, stop doing this. also, panning is a lot more annoying than useful. it's only needed on a few levels and just barely, so it'd be better to get rid of it and scale those levels to fit the screen. or if scaling is too much work, instead of using 4 keys to move the screen slightly around, offer a zoom key, then wasd could be used as an alternative for movement, win-win-win. esc brings up and exits the pause menu, but if you go to the newly-added settings with 2 whole audio toggles, esc won't go back to the main pause menu but close the whole thing, gotta select 'back' instead. on-screen level numbers got patched in, plenty of room on the screen, especially without control prompts that disappear after a few levels and only show new stuff when applicable. they're always on in the pause menu and the hint and instructions screens, so again, inconsistency. as good as the idea, some of the presentation (if you're into cute pixel art) and mechanics are, it's impossible to recommend in such a shoddy state with missing basic functionality. also, it's $1.49 on mobile and I bet it works a lot better there. plus you can talk to the other toys in the hub world in the mobile version, which isn't possible here, so even though it's just fluff, you get less by paying more if you buy the pc version. so please don't. it might get patched up eventually, I'll edit and potentially flip the review then.
Nice game but still has quite a few problems for a full release title. - There are weird lags and freezes, which is...not great for such a small and theoretically low-demanding game. - no options for sound settings, keys are not rebindable - you can collect coins in some levels but from the level menue you cannot see whether you missed some in a level you already finished - the zoom in/zoom out doesn't work that well for some reason, i always get stuck in zoomed out view and have to fix it by pressing esc I guess you get about 2-3 hours of playtime out of this, which is not too shabby for the price! i hope the dev will fix the things listed above, at the moment i can only recommend it with a "but".
无论美术,还是玩法,都是被严重低估的游戏。 画风超可爱,机关种类非常丰富,关卡设置巧妙,又不会太难。 看到就是赚到,速加愿望单。
关注我们 甄游组 第一印象 免费游戏
Such a nice game with a very charming visual design! The gameplay kinda reminds Helltaker, but without limits for steps in every level and with much more various types of puzzles, tricks and enemies. Some levels are very easy and they just introduce you new enemies and how they act, but mostly you really need to use your logic to resolve the puzzles. And some levels are pretty tricky, but I can't say they are so difficult that you can't resolve them for hours and you're feeling stupid and dissapointed, but they are difficult enough to make you feel satisfied and proud of yourself when you finally resolve them. So yeah, this game is definitely an ineteresting and positive experience!
Nifty little logic game, reasonable dificulty curve and fancy graphics. Good to wind down.
It is just ok. Priced right at a dollar. Positive: - levels have bonus objectives (collect all of the coins for a harder solution) - a large number of levels (72, takes several hours) Negative: - Bugs. Try to enter level 11 on level select. Try to beat level 8 using WASD (arrow keys work fine). Try to switch players by clicking on them. - Most levels are not very difficult. - Needs more in game help. I had to look up on the game page how to switch players (Q key). - Controls are still a bit awkward since you need to use both the keyboard and the mouse (especially in later levels). On the final level, it can be easy to accidentally move the crane when you intend to just move the character at the crane. This can undo a lot of work (since it takes a lot of practice to get into the situation required to beat the level).
Chloe Puzzle Game is a simple Adobe Flash tier 2D retro pixel Sokoban ripoff slapped together with node.JS. Gameplay consists of getting to the end zone by making the correct sequence of moves, just like Sokoban. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. The very poor quality of this game puts it squarely on-par with ancient 1990's Flash/Java games, and given it's 2022 (and this was released not so far back in 2022), gamers and the industry expect and deserve better than this kind of low effort shovelware. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. You don't have to take my word about how bad the game is, we can measure the interest in a game by how much people bothered to play it. Chloe Puzzle Game has achievments, and they show us a very clear picture that the game absolutely failed to capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is for passing the tutorial level, easy to do, and only around 3 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. That's a tiny, tiny proportion of gamers who even bothered with this. Ouch. Chloe Puzzle Game is relatively cheap at $3 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.

Overview: The only interesting thing at first glance is the level design, to find the movement solution, but not considering anything else is just not worth it. Game sometimes has some performance bugs and glitches, beyond explainable...
Didn't finished it yet, but the game has the ideal learning/difficulty curve; it shows new elements as the stages goes and even not doing it on an obvious way
(some commands HAVE to be deducted
in the end, it turns out great. Definitively worth a try, pretty good game, here!
I got this yesterday and I can't stop playing it. I wasn't expecting to have this much fun. It's very charming and really puts my mind to work. The art is very cute. Such a good surprise!
