Gameplay Mechanics: 6/10 Narrative: 8/10 Graphics: 6/10 Sound and Music: 8/10 Replayability: 5/10 Innovation: 6/10 As someone who's been a fan of the Sword and Fairy series since the very first game nearly three decades ago, it’s always exciting to see a new entry. The franchise has come a long way—especially in terms of gameplay systems and production values—but Sword and Fairy 6 feels like a step sideways rather than forward. Gameplay mechanics continue the trend toward real-time action combat, but the execution here is rough. Controls feel unresponsive, the camera can be frustrating, and fights often devolve into button-mashing. There’s progress from earlier systems, but this isn’t the polished experience longtime fans hoped for. Score: 6/10. Narrative remains a highlight. The series has always excelled in weaving romanticism, mythology, and personal drama, and this installment is no exception. While not the most emotionally impactful story in the series, it still offers a compelling journey with memorable characters and lore. Score: 8/10. Graphics are inconsistent. Some environments are lovely and the art direction carries that signature Chinese fantasy flair, but technical performance issues and dated character models drag the visual experience down. Score: 6/10. Sound and music are excellent, as expected. The score beautifully complements the story’s tone, and the voice acting—particularly in Mandarin—is strong and emotive. Score: 8/10. Replayability is limited. It’s a very linear experience with minimal variation across playthroughs. Once the story’s done, there’s not much to revisit. Score: 5/10. Innovation is modest. The move to real-time action continues to evolve, but doesn’t quite land here. Score: 6/10. Bottom line: As a longtime fan, I wanted to love Sword and Fairy 6. While the story still carries emotional weight and the music is top-notch, this isn't the series at its best. A decent entry—but not the one I’d recommend to newcomers.
After playing for just about an hour, I got to first few fights, realized I have absolutely no idea how combat functions whatsoever, and decided to drop it. Tutorial is bad. Absurdly bad. It starts with character, 10 buttons on left side, and 9 (NINE!) pages of tutorial how to fight. Then map comes over, and game gives 5 pages tutorial on how/what. I'm sorry, but that design is beyond bad. Coming from Gujian3, this combat is about as intuitive as trying to assemble spaceship following IKEA assembly instructions.
花錢買了這部結果玩得快得病頭暈跑得又慢又卡,東西放在根本上不去的地方跳都跳不上去,簡直不知道錢花哪去 難怪大家都稱讚古劍系列好
