Awesome Side scrolling RogueLike. Fast pace fun. a lot of different weapons and attachments to fit how you want to play. solid number of soldiers to play as.
It's a cute little game, I love the side scrolling feel. The learning curve isn't that bad, challenging without making me want to rip out my hair. I don't even know what's going on half the time, it's chaotic. 10/10, will play again.
I just got this and I'm already wanting more. Usually I don't buy early access but it was worth it, can't wait for the full game!
This game is stupid fun. Brings me back to the OG days of shoot'em up bullet hell games. Plus 4 players co-op. BLOW IT UP! If this game ever came to the Switch or console, it would be even more amazing.
Not a good game at all and I am not one to usually leave bad reviews. Game difficulty is absolutely INSANE if you don't have the snail shield, and the default button binds are atrocious. Did they even playtest their own game? And you can't change button or keyboard keybinds either, even though they said many months ago(!) that they were going to implement this--but nope. Nothing. Nothing but frustration here, injuring my fingers and tripping over myself. Up dpad to reload?? what? Let me edit this and teach the game designers something about players. You do *NOT* want 3-4 actions to create an effect in an arcade game. In this game, if you want to use your secondary weapon, you have to : 1: Hold down LB 2: Aim with right right stick. 3: Press right trigger to shoot. God forbid if you want to dodge or jump at the same time as this--that's FOUR SEPARATE ACTIONS AT ONCE. Hello, Carpel Tunnel! What is so wrong about just having "LB" bring out (maybe with a very small delay) your secondary gun and start shooting it in the direction you're aiming? That's one huge action workload taken out. Zero reason to not do it like this. Reload being on the dpad, completely opposite the side you're using to shoot, is wild. No game does this. Reloading means you have to stop moving. While I don't necessarily "like" having right trigger activating shooting, rather than just moving the right thumbstick, I can see how this might need to be done, but again...surely proper game design can make a simpler system work. As another reviewer said, game has too many buttons and toggles to deal with. Do yourself a favor and play 20xx or 30xx instead. This game isn't worth it, even if it was given away for free. And I do NOT say that lightly. Grinding MANY multiple times for enough to buy one freaking healthpack perk is already stupid enough as it is. Maybe if the controls were fixed, this might be worth it on sale. The action is decent enough. The controls make it impossible.
Give me a bowl of cereal and pajamas, and this takes me right back to my childhood! Minus the trauma.
Great game nice fun simple game to play if you just want to mess around in game
