Edgy, rebellious, grappling with dark and mature themes, cool and pure fun. A quintessential indie game! This is the type of game bigger and more commercial companies would never make. What I like the most of Children of the Sun is the vibe. Dark and trippy visuals, ominous setting, a moody soundscape and raw graphic design. Combine that with a revenge story and sniper combat gameplay, it feels like punk rock but in a game format. The controls are innovative and intutive, all played with the mouse. Its fresh and resonsive. Another awesome aspect is that the various levels never overstay their welcome. You get in, figure out the path, pull the trigger and get out. It doesnt need to be anything more than that. Perfect as a pallette cleanser between sessions of bigger an meater games. Hence, Children of the Sun is a game I plan savoring and stringing out over as long time as possible. Its that good!
Cute lil puzzle game about taking revenge on the cult that exploited you and ruined your life. The vibes are neat.

So this is a pretty neat puzzle shooter where you use weird physis to clear all of the enemies in a level in a "Single shot" This bullet has somewhat limited movement from the time it starts until the time it hits a target. The art style is cool and while there isn't a whole lot of story I like the way it's presented. Unless you're looking to do challenge runs though the game is only 5ish hours long so at full price I don't know if I would pick it up, but on sale it's an easy buy. Final Grade C+
这何尝不是一种连连看,只不过使用子弹去连线敌人罢了。
Children of the Sun Review
Personal Review Tiers 1 – Exceptional | 2 – Great | 3 – Good | 4 – Average | 5 – Bad | 6 – Unplayable 🎮 Children of the Sun — Tier 4: Average
📌 Disclaimer I played exclusively on my ROG Xbox Ally X, where performance was excellent, maintaining a solid 60 FPS throughout. ✅ Pros Unique, enjoyable gameplay loop You control a single bullet and have to chain your kills together. It's essentially SUPERHOT from the perspective of a sniper, turning each level into a satisfying puzzle of enemy positioning and bullet trajectory. Great aesthetic, visual & audio design The grim, surreal comic-book presentation gives the game a distinctive identity, with excellent sound design complementing the atmosphere. Good challenge Most levels are enjoyable one-shot labyrinths where you learn enemy locations, understand the layout and gradually work out the perfect sequence. Fun achievements Achievements are tied to in-level riddles and additional challenges rather than simply completing levels. Most were genuinely fun to unlock. ❌ Cons Unbalanced difficulty curve The difficulty spikes significantly around the middle before becoming easier again. By around two-thirds through, most mechanics have been introduced, meaning later levels don't always feel like they're building on the earlier ones. Narrative doesn't quite pan out The nightmarish comic-book vignettes are interesting, but the actual story is ultimately very simplistic and largely feels like a means to an end. Poor enemy variety There are only four enemy types, which are not spread out the best, which limits the possibilities for increasingly creative puzzles. I found this to be a shame. Poor tutorials Perhaps I'm stupid, but some mechanics aren't explained particularly well. It took me around ten minutes to properly understand the bullet redirection mechanic, and the yellow mythic enemies I lucked into figuring out how to kill. 🎯Final Thoughts Children of the Sun is a soft recommendation for me. Its unique gameplay and presentation are genuinely enjoyable, and it's worth a playthrough, but several flaws prevent it from reaching its potential. I'd have loved to see a perk system, more enemy types and additional level variations — timed challenges, alternative objectives or difficulty options could have added considerable depth. A clever, stylish and enjoyable puzzle-shooter, but one that ultimately feels like it leaves some of its potential on the table.
fun puzzls
The core idea is very interesting and really pulls you in at first. Also the very particle art style and sound design could be enticing to some. But as the game progresses the gameplay just slowly declines as new features are added that don't enrich the experience at all. Also there is some ideas that just seem so out of place given previously established concepts that I genuinely imagine they were added to pad the play time. Overall it's an interesting art piece and is worth a few dollars and hours just for that. But don't spend full price and don't expect this to be your next obsession.
