Child of Light

Honestly, beautiful game and pretty much magical for an Ubisoft game. However, Ubisoft can fart on a log for making you download an Ubisoft launcher to play this on Steam.

Crashes. Open, in Linux of course. It shows a Ubisoft login, which mercifully allows you to 'skip'. Then the game , ... crashes. That's ok, we have a Windows machine. Boot Windows. Fifteen minutes later, Steam is ready. Game installs super quick. Yay! Fire the game, Ubisoft needs a login. Ok, tap-tap, we've got a throwaway Ubisoft login. Game loads! White screen! Crash. So my initial reaction was quite poor. And I would not not recommend this game. After many hours of struggling, I read documentation online on how to fake the game into thinking I only had 12 CPUs. It finally loaded up. It's a good game, but you'd think that the developers can easily find why the game crashes if it thinks it has many CPUs and just fix that...? Also, doesn't work on Linux. Why not? Still would not recommend. Developers that don't care about users shouldn't be rewarded.

It's a short game. What I think is great about it is that it isn't a long a game. It isn't to open world so it is not super overwhelming. It also isn't a grind. The artwork is lovely too. I also own on switch.

Child of Light has a fair bit to it. It's engaging. The game is your classic type of RPG with turn-based combat. The visual style is pretty stunning and the music has a lot to say about it as well. The storyline is well-explained. The controls are simple. A lot of games I've played recently have had at least one little thing that seems unfair, whether it be some stupid attack, or some ungodly difficult key combo. This game doesn't possess that problem. Everything about it is perfectly fair. It's not a hard game either. Very worth a buy, I'd say.

Игра не запустилась, зато в ней есть обязательный к установке и регистрации лаунчер Ubisoft. Очень жаль т.к. сама игруля выглядит очень хорошо. Будьте осторожны и проверяйте работоспособность сразу, а не через год, как я. P.S. А вы, господа из Ubisoft, kus me in die lippen waarmee ik geen Vlaams spreek
