Child of Light

Beautiful game, great history and characters. Played on vita and switch, was hoping to add it to my pc collection to play on my ROG Ally but the Ubisoft connect BS was enough to make me refund it. Companies should not be allowed to force their spyware on games bought on Steam. Never will I ever buy a game from Ubisoft as long as they force this sh#t. If you want to play the game I would recomend it but find another platform or be warned it'll install Ubisoft's spyware even if you chose no when prompted for permission.

This is one of my all time favourite games. Its watercolour visuals, its endearing rhymes, its ‘timeline’ style RPG combat are all great. The music by Cœur de Pirate made me a fan, and now I have all her records. The problem with this game is Ubisoft; they have released it in on Steam without achievements or cloud saves— though they did include their own launcher. There are some weird issues with the graphics, too, and an annoying transparent box that emerges before every battle. This could have been a great game for the Deck, too, but don‘t hold your breath for any optimisations.

Crashes as soon as the program launches, likely an issue with Ubisoft Connect. It's worse than EA's setup. I tried all fixes I could find and ran it on different PC's, nothing worked.

I keep trying to get into it and... failing. It's interesting, beautiful and artistic so to speak. But it doesn't manage to keep my interest even though on paper it should: it's turn based (I love turn based games), it's a metroidvania-like (not really, but... kinda), but... it just doesn't click. A pity.

Please add Steam Achievements, add FSR/DLSS support.

Cool mini story was having fun did finish the game, then ubisoft ask for by phone to setup a two way authentification tha ♥♥♥ 10 year old game ? no go away

DO NOT PURCHASE Ubisoft will take your right to your game away from you. They said they cannot find a purchase on my account with all the proof I've shown do not give them your money unless you are willing to lose the game.
