Requires you to log into lichess.org in order to play. Can't play offline. The game seeks to create a rich graphical experience, but in the end it often causes the game to crash. When the game doesn't crash, the problem is there are light glares coming off the board and pieces that make it difficult to figure out what some pieces are supposed to be (queen? king? bishop?). Performance is seriously held back by the unnecessarily high graphics quality. The 'photo-realistic' graphics cause more problems than they solve. When you are playing, the game is rendering tons of stuff in the background that has nothing to do with the game. I'm running a 3080ti and at high graphics settings, I'm getting about 67fps for a game that essentially has static pieces with no animations going on. How does that make any sense from a development perspective?! It's chess. Keep the UI and graphics simple. Also, the system requirements don't disclose you need to create a lichess.org account to play (saying that it 'integrates' is highly ambiguous).

amazing game

This is basically an Unreal implementation of lichess. Feels like you need a decent computer to run it, but it is pretty comfy to play while listening to something.

Not the best, if you get checkmated, it doesn't show you how, had some bugs with pieces working incorrectly.

Every time i get the upper hand on the computer, it starts thinking and then never takes its turn. Im not that good so it doesnt happen all that often, but Ive never won.

Schöne Idee das dieses Spiel direkt mit Lichess verbunden ist. Somit findet man immer einen Gegner und die Taktikaufgaben sind hier auch spielbar. Ich finde es cool das es möglich ist die Kamera frei zu bewegen und man so die Räume erkunden kann. So kann man sich überall hinsetzen und vom im HUD angezeigten 2D Spielbrett aus spielen, anstatt ständig vorm 3D Brett zu sitzen. Das Spiel ist eine nette Abwechslung. Wünschenswert wäre noch eine VR Version und einen Avatar des Gegners damit man sich nicht so allein in den Räumen fühlt.
