The game ran very well for me on ultra settings. No performance issues, and I only encountered one minor bug where the screen was black after loading into an area, but reloading the save fixed it. I personally recommend playing with Russian voice acting and subtitles of your choice. It fits the setting much better and improves the overall experience, but it’s up to you how you want to play.
Chernobylite surprised me because I honestly thought I wasn't going to like it. I expected something much closer to STALKER, with stronger horror elements, more abandoned environments, anomalies and a heavier atmosphere. Instead, the game goes in a different direction, mixing exploration, survival, base building and resource management. Visually, the game is excellent. The environments look great and exploring them is genuinely enjoyable. I encountered some pathfinding issues and a few bugs, but so far they have been more amusing than intrusive and haven't affected my experience in any significant way. The weakest part for me is the story. The main objective is to find Igor's wife, but I don't think the game does enough to create a strong connection between them. The story feels too linear and the relationship needed more development, because at the moment my curiosity comes more from understanding what is happening in this world than from the objective of finding her. What makes Chernobylite interesting for me are the systems around the main gameplay. You gather resources, build and manage your base, recruit companions and can send them on missions to collect different resources. You can also manage their equipment, which affects their chances of successfully completing those missions. It almost feels like playing something similar to a management game such as Frostpunk or Endzone from a first-person perspective. That's what makes the game feel different. The story could be stronger and the combat is simply good, but the combination of exploration, survival, base building and companion management creates an experience that I wasn't expecting. Based on what I have played so far, I would give it an 8/10. The game has weaknesses, but it surprised me enough with its visuals, ideas and different mechanics to make me want to keep exploring it. For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I genuinely think this game is great, but the finale really upset me. You can tell the developers poured their hearts and souls into this project. The visuals are outstanding, crisp with high-fidelity, and the locations are undeniably gorgeous and well-crafted. The music composed by Mikolai Stroinski felt really in-tune and in-character with the concept and setting of the game; the acoustics from the main menu and after each mission are really memorable. The characters are extremely fleshed out and extremely human, they really felt like they've lived a life of their own before meeting the protagonist, with their own beliefs and agendas. Kudos for the voice actors for having to speak so much dialogue, and with great performances. The story itself was really compelling, and the concept that the game was trying to convey is honestly such a fascinating idea, backed with sensical reasoning and scientific research to an extent. The developers absolutely did their research when developing this game, and it shows clearly throughout the game. I was also genuinely super invested in the plot of Igor and Tatyana; the idea of a madman searching for his wife who's a voice in his head for the length of the game is such an unique idea for a nuanced and in-depth protagonist that not many game studios choose to use. However, that revelation in the finale of the game really did ruin the experience for me- the entire sequence as a whole did, actually. The plot twist with regards to Igor I found to be absolutely unnecessary. The gameplay itself is pretty outdated, and inevitably wears its welcome for the sake of storytelling. I did play the game on Easy which nullifies the need to search for items later on in the game- leaving me essentially invincible, but I'm certain playing the game on harder difficulties will only add unbelievable frustration since I was playing primarily for the story. The choices in this game are certainly impactful, but without a guide to approach each choice, the consequences personally seem unforgiving considering the characters can leave permanently after you made a choice they don't like, which can bar you from ceratin quests. Additionally, the game only gives you two main quests to complete before you're able to complete more main quests, which gives the fear that you'll inevitably lose a stalker or a board investigation without you realizing, or honestly, even without you having a choice. If you want to recruit them again, you're encouraged to have another playthrough which considering how long the game's story is, is dreadfully demotivating since the gameplay itself is streamlined. The audio is okay, there's some parts of it that are undercooked like the portal gun opening the wormhole is just non-existent. The variety in enemies are quite limited in both the NAR and the Shadows, and quite sparse, at least when I played the game (again, I played it in Easy so they might've not appeared as much.) The building feature is very surface-level, and there isn't much content when it comes to filling the warehouse. The variety in materials and weaponry is also quite limited and basic, but that feels understandable to me. Personally, I don't mind the issues I pointed out above because I was genuinely really absorbed in the story and the characters that you're able to recruit. I think the abundant dialogue- to the dismay of other players, was honestly great in my eyes. I really enjoyed the conversations that Igor had with the other stalkers and with Tatyana. Tatyana is such a tragic and amazing character, which makes it all the more heartbreaking to how half-assed the final sequence of the game felt, and how horrendous that plot twist with Igor is. It really did leave such a sour taste in my mouth, especially after enjoying the story for this many hours. Do I recommend the game? Yes, it still is a good game with a very interesting story to tell and a great cast of characters, but it is also quite flawed, which I think is a shame.
Chernobylite, достаточно средняя по исполнению игра, содержит элементы survival horror, фильма категории B, выпусков Telltale Games, стелса, шутера от первого лица и вышла как раз во время ожидания S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3727639015 Chernobylite напоминает Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain — полуоткрытый мир, разделённый на несколько часто посещаемых локаций, изменяющиеся со временем окружение и враги, связанный со строительством базы игровой процесс.
Chernobylite — The Masterpiece After My Heart I loved this game's concept. It brought me back to the vibe of the old S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games, while also feeling distinct enough to stand on its own. The difficulty struck a satisfying balance — fair, yet genuinely challenging. (If you are keen on history, learning more about the Chernobyl events (maybe after watching the Documentary series), or you just loved Fallout New Vegas, Fallout IV, Alan Wake, or any S.T.A.L.K.E.R game, this is the game for you). I fell head over heels for this game during the first eight hours. The story caught me completely off guard, and I was hooked — until the 12+ hour mark, where some gameplay-related fatigue started to creep in. That said, the gameplay loop itself felt excellent throughout: the scenarios were varied enough to stay fresh, and resource gathering never became a chore, since the standard quests supply you with more than enough to get by. In many ways, this game felt perfect precisely because it ended before the 20-hour mark. I loved every part of it sneaking past guards, stalking through the shadows early on, then later switching to sniping enemies or just going full Rambo. And it was perfect because it ended when it did. Because I loved every single second of it, and there were no seconds left to grow tired of. Performance: Running on an i7-12700K, RTX 3050 Ti (laptop), 16GB DDR5, and a 500GB SSD — the game ran flawlessly on High settings with Frame Generation (Quality mode) at a steady 50–60 FPS.
Lures you in with promises of slow burn psychological horror only to pull the rug and reveal an open worlder so generic I half expected to see Ubisoft in the credits.
Aggressively mid. The base-building exists in a vacuum segregated from the actual gameplay. The maps are small and empty. The gameplay loop is repetitive and quite boring.
