I need 第二部plz。

小林正雪復仇之密室重制版 — Cheney Wood: The Ultimate Revenge — is a thoughtful remake of a classic Chinese-language detective adventure, rebuilt by Genuine Studio (傅真, Yahu) with a modernized interface, enhanced artwork, and a more accessible structure while retaining the quirky tone and puzzle-driven design that defined the original. At its core, the game is a hybrid of locked-room mystery, crime investigation, and visual-novel storytelling, centered on the peculiar detective He arrives in a new city hoping to escape his past mistakes, only to find himself entangled in a chain of criminal cases that steadily escalate from simple incidents into a sprawling conspiracy. The tone shifts fluidly between comedic banter, dramatic reveals, and dark thriller elements, and while this mixture can sometimes be uneven, it gives the game a distinctive personality within its genre. The structure of the remake gathers multiple “chapters” from the original series — each one a self-contained case with its own location, victim, suspects, and puzzle mechanics. As you progress through stories like “Child Disappearance,” “Midnight Visitor,” and “Revenge Room,” you move from one mystery to another with a rhythm that keeps the game feeling varied and episodic. The compilation format works in the remake’s favor: each case has different stakes, atmospheres, and types of locked-room setups, preventing the game from falling into predictable patterns too early. At the same time, small narrative threads link the cases together, hinting at a larger shadow hanging over the city and gradually revealing more about 小林正雪 himself. Moment-to-moment gameplay blends classic point-and-click exploration with item-based puzzle solving, deduction, and evidence confrontation. You scour crime scenes, inspect objects, combine clues, and question suspects — sometimes through simple dialogue, other times through a debate-style “versus” system that challenges you to contradict statements and expose lies. The remake overhauls this system to make it more intuitive and fair: time-pressure gimmicks from the early versions are removed, and visual cues better clarify when and how to use evidence. The result is a more focused intellectual challenge rather than a frustration-based gauntlet. The addition of the “Lightbulb System,” which occasionally highlights the protagonist’s insights or suspicions, helps guide players without outright solving puzzles for them, preserving the sense of discovery while reducing moments of confusion. One of the remake’s biggest improvements is its presentation. The developers reworked the UI into a horizontal layout better suited for PC screens, redrew numerous illustrations, and added new CGs to depict key scenes more dramatically. While the game’s art style remains modest compared to high-budget visual novels, the new graphics create a cleaner, more polished experience. The inclusion of voice acting — mostly Mandarin with touches of Cantonese to evoke a Hong Kong-influenced flavor — adds charm and cultural texture. Not all performances are equally strong; some lines feel natural, while others are stiff or overly theatrical. Still, the effort gives the cast more personality than the original version, and the multilanguage flavor enhances the noir-inspired setting. Despite these enhancements, the game does show its limitations. Production values remain humble, with environments and character art that, while appealing, lack the richness or animation depth found in larger detective titles. The lack of English localization is another significant barrier — the game is heavily text-driven, and without Chinese proficiency, many players will struggle to appreciate its intricacies or follow its layered dialogue. Even within its intended audience, some narrative beats can feel abrupt or overly reliant on melodrama, particularly when the story shifts suddenly from humor to horror. Character development varies by chapter, and while 小林正雪 is an entertaining protagonist, some supporting characters appear only briefly and leave little lasting impression. Where the game succeeds consistently is in its puzzle design and pacing. The cases are logical, fair, and satisfying to solve, with solutions grounded in careful observation rather than wild leaps of intuition. The thrill comes not from extravagant action but from the mental satisfaction of connecting clues, catching contradictions, and watching a culprit’s story collapse under scrutiny. Each case offers a different spin on locked-room problem-solving, whether involving unusual crime-scene layouts, misleading alibis, or clever environmental details. For players who enjoy cerebral challenges, the game provides a steady stream of engaging mysteries without relying on filler or overly repetitive mechanics. As a complete package, Cheney Wood: The Ultimate Revenge stands as a confident and affectionate restoration of a cult detective classic. It preserves the charm, humor, and puzzle-driven gameplay of the original while smoothing out its rough edges, offering newcomers a more accessible entry point and longtime fans a reason to revisit familiar cases. It may not boast the visual spectacle or narrative grandiosity of major mystery visual novels, but it thrives through solid case design, a distinctive cultural flavor, and a satisfying mixture of deduction and storytelling. For players who appreciate smaller, well-crafted detective adventures — especially those drawn to locked-room puzzles and Chinese-style noir — this remake is a worthwhile and deeply enjoyable experience. Rating: 8/10
