Follow/ Sigue a "La Cruceta Inquieta", Steam curator/ mentor de Steam

ESP
ENG
“Chants of Sennaar” lives up to all the expectations of an indie video game: novelty, originality, and a distinct approach to each of its sections. It's remarkable how, with its simple (yet not simplistic) art style and gameplay, it manages to draw us into a world that unfolds through our own reasoning, guided by the clever clues provided. “Chants of Sennaar” is a truly unique puzzle game because it uses language as the vehicle for its solutions, and it does so in such a well-crafted and equally effective way that we momentarily forget the game itself and simply enjoy the translation of texts, our deductive reasoning and the use of our memory. Add to this a minimalist yet meticulously crafted art style and ambient music that transports us to a tranquil bygone era, and “Chants of Sennaar” becomes a must-play for anyone who enjoys puzzle games. Pros: - a very clever puzzle design based on translating unfamiliar languages and understanding their relationships: it's a pleasure to learn the meaning of each symbol and apply it diligently, just as if it were a real language you've just learned; - an artistic and graphic style featuring overwhelming architecture reminiscent of Moebius; - ambient music with real instrumentation. Cons: - more language translation puzzles are needed: they're the heart of the game; - the stealth and action sections are unnecessary in a slow-paced game like this; - some puzzles of unclear design; - both in terms of gameplay and story, the final stages of the game don't live up to the rest.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A really creative puzzle game where you have to pay attention to your surroundings to decipher the meaning of languages, and then use that knowledge to solve puzzles. Visually it's beautiful, the story is interesting enough. I especially like that each of the people's is wary and dismissive of the peoples above/below them, calling them idiots, unworthy etc. The puzzles aren't difficult, and I would say that the backtracking involved pushes to the point of annoyance. The best puzzles come at the end when you have to play translator between the different peoples and prove that you fully understand the grammar and rules of each language - that said, there are literally 7 of these puzzles and they are short lived, but I appreciate they wanted to make the game approachable for everyone to finish. Well worth it for any fan of puzzle and story games 8/10

Had a lot of fun playing this game, I recommend it
There is absolutely no reason to waste my time with pointless and random stealth.
Awesome game full of puzzles and a great message throughout. Misunderstanding is the basis of negativity.
One of the best language puzzle game ever. It's pretty short, the puzzles are interesting and not very mind-killing. The most interesting part of the game is that you actually learn new languages and try to connect them with each other seeing their differences which come from culture of people who talk them itself. And the overall story and ending is pretty interesting. I could recommend this game to all who seek experience with learning a story and game rules bit by bit from scratch.
Clever puzzles in a charming world. Gradually becoming better at translating the languages is satisfying.
This game has many things. Amazing art direction, great music, superb atmosphere. It also has the best puzzles. The concept of the game is build on trying to understand another person. Once you solve a puzzle, your character gets more understandable words in their vocabulary and they start to understand world around you a little more. Later, your multilingual skills start to change your surroundings as well when you are a mediator between different tribes. In my eyes it was a great retelling of the Babel Tower myth. Overall: 5/5
Aside from unique idea this is a very well made puzzle game by itself — it strikes a perfect balance of difficult enough, without leaps of moon logic, while allowing you to make educated guesses from incomplete information (and feel smart). Last part of the game was a nice curveball, too.
