About
Chainsaw Warrior from Games Workshop is the classic nail-biting game for one strong-nerved player! It's the year 2032 and spatial warping has opened a hole into another dimension in the midst of the old municipal buildings at the heart of Manhattan. Bizarre and dangerous creatures are flooding into our dimension, intent on destruction. Behind their actions is a controlling intelligence known as 'Darkness', who intends to drag New York back into the warp – destroying it utterly!
Air strikes, ground assaults and WMDs have all failed to stop the swarming forces from beyond. All that remains is a single hope: a shadowy ex-special forces soldier, enhanced for combat and known only as 'Chainsaw Warrior'. Equipped with all the latest high-tech armaments, he must battle his way through to the trans-dimensional ground-zero and defeat Darkness. Not only are there swarms of zombies, mutants, traps, Chaos Agents and other twisted denizens between him and Darkness, time is the enemy too! Only an hour remains to save New York before it is torn from our world forever.
First published as a solo boardgame in 1987, it has been updated, translated and re-engineered for the digital generation. In Chainsaw Warrior it's just you against both the clock and a tide of evil! Can you prevail where all others have failed? You only have 60 minutes to save New York!

A good and very fast paced game. Dice and cards adventure, simple rules to follow with a nice narrative. Currently it needs an patch to solve a tech issue that impacts some players but if it works for you or that's fixed for everyone then this is very much worth the money for a game you can play multiple times in a short ten or fifteen minute session.
A faithful recreation of the 1987 solo board game by Games Workshop, including additional rules and cards from White Dwarf magazine. It is clearly made for mobile, and on desktop there are needless mouse movements and clicks that would benefit from key bindings. As a new videogame experience it's hard to recommend, as it's a completely random and very hard card flipping game that is sure to bring you frustration. But if you are here for the nostalgia factor you won't be disappointed.

for now having to say not recomended as i cant get past the first splash screen or well rather its completly black buttons work and all that but cant seem much of anything not sure if my gpu, graphics drivers or other but have not found a fix if i can find one i will update this acordingly
The entertainment value of this is short lived. After the initial excitement dies off, you are caught in a repetitive clicking exercise that is purely based on luck and nothing much else.I still gotta give it some kudos for the slight fun I had, and the fairly decently graphics.5/10 Just barely makes the cut. Give it a try, you might regret, or you might not.
A classic card game set up into a simple computer game - not the most in depth, but a handy way to kill some time in the less typical corners of the grimdark universe of the future.
Quick and Stupid. Love it.
Classic GW singleplayer card game. You select equipment at the beginning, and may be able to get more as the game goes on.You draw cards from a deck that represents the "Dungeon" you are delving into, so to speak, with traps, enemies and random events. Very fun, has that Roguelike feeling but also can be unforgiving and just ♥♥♥♥ you over if you got bad luck. WARNING TO ALL POTENTIAL BUYERS: It doesn't work on modern systems. You'll get a black screen after the first splash screen. Some people say they can get the game to run on Win10...but I never had that luck. And it doesn't work on Win11 at all. Until Auroch fix their ♥♥♥♥, don't buy. EDIT: As of the 5th of May, Devs from Auroch took a look at it apparantly. Reinstalled and ran the game and it actually works now! There's still some people in the Discussion section who say the game doesn't run for them, but also many confirming it works on their end. So I change my review score to a Recommend, but a cautious one. Game MAY not run but generally should now.
