Take up your sword, channel your magic or board your Mech. Chained Echoes is a 16-bit style RPG set in a fantasy world where dragons are as common as piloted mechanical suits.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.71/day in the week to Sep 14 → 4.17/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
10/10 would play again. I'm not sure how far I'm in, and quite honestly, I do not mind; because this is one of the greatest RPGs I've ever played.

I love JRPGs, have since the olden FFT days on PS1, but while they usually shine in terms of story and combat depth, most of them lose momentum to too much grinding, too much repetitive travel, too much micromanagement for the party and obscure job/class systems... Chained Echoes falls into none of these traps and is a beautifully balanced JRPG experience - I played for over 50 hours and loved every minute, completed most optional content and reward board and didn't feel grindy at any point. Story is great, writing is chuckle worthy, combat is just hard enough to challenge even veterans of the genre. Strongly recommended.
Simply put, it's one of the best RPGs i've ever played. The overall story is interesting and keeps you guessing. The writing is great. Despite the overall serious nature of the plot, it isn't afraid to throw in some funny lines here or there. A band arguing on an airship why the flute player isn't louder than the wind got a good chuckle out of me. So did the poor person in a church's soup kitchen being happy that there's a chunk of meat in his soup, even though it was just a fly. The pixelart is gorgeous. It's so vibrant and rich in detail that you can't help but smile at all the little details they put into the game. Combine that with the intricate level design and it's always fun to just explore the zones and be rewarded for it. The music just adds to the magic of the game, because it makes every zone feel alive. Some people argue about the combat being all over the place and i have to agree at times. Some fights are laughably easy, while others knock you out in a few turns. It's to be expected with the level of customization that the game offers. Between the gear, all the skills you can choose and class emblems, there's quite the difference of stats you can achieve at various points. On the flipside, that level of customization makes it fun to experiment. PS. When's the last time you've heard death metal during a turtle race? For that alone the game deserves a recommendation.
Amazing work for a solo project with some truly great story moments. But the ending didn’t land for me. The redemption theme felt clumsy and undercut the finale’s impact.
good
