Catty & Batty: The Spirit Guide

Charming little puzzle game where you [strike]herd cats[/strike] build paths for spirits, with original art and music. It looks sharp and has tight controls, so frustration will mostly come from you putting the box in the wrong square and letting spirits scatter away from your perfectly built path. If you haven't followed the development, you should know that the game is VERY STRAIGHTFORWARD. Once you understand the level's mechanic it is usually obvious what to do. For hardcore puzzle lovers C&B may feel boring.

Catty and Batty is a lighthearted game about the friendship of a cat and a bat solving over 50 different puzzles TOGETHER. It fits in a series of indie games I have come to appreciate for their romantic theme, cooperative game-play and casual difficulty which is perfect to introduce computer gaming to your girlfriend. Hand-drawn sprites and original music also provide a special charm.

This is NOT a tower defense game, let me get that out there first off. This is more like (or is) a Sokoban game. You place boxes to get spirits to move around the map, bounce off the boxes, and make it to the final goal. As you progress, there are elements that are added into the game in order to make it harder for those spirits to reach the goal, but that just means moving boxes around etc. Again, this is not a tower defense game.... ***BUT***, even though I bought it thinking I was going to be pew pewing with some bat and cat towers, I'm not disappointed. This really is a fun, chill, sometimes challenging Sokoban/Puzzle game. So althought this review might seem negative, it is not. I totally recommend this game (unless you hate sokoban games) and am very happy with my purchase!

Not a big fan of puzzle games, but I enjoyed this one a lot! Definitely worth giving it a try! The art is a big plus to this game, all of the drawings look handmade and are beautiful! The gameplay is simple but fun, puzzles go from easy to fun :D there are no very hard puzzles, but actually very enjoyable ones. Overall it's a solid 8/10 and worth it's price!

Catty & Batty foi uma surpresa tremenda!! Quando iniciei o jogo, não sabia o que esperar e me deparei com um jogo de puzzle simples mas com muito carisma. Toda a arte do jogo foi feita a mão, dando um toque bem bacana para o jogo. Não se deixe enganar pela aparência simples dos personagens pelo trailer ou nas prints do jogo, tudo é muito bem feito e animado. Eu apresentei o jogo a um amigo e ele me demonstrou um jogo no qual ele jogava de Gameboy, que provavelmente o criador se baseou chamado: "Chuchu Rocket" a premissa é bastante parecida. A trilha sonora é simpática e bem feita, O game pode ser jogado sozinho ou em coop, cada um controlando um dos personagens. A jogabilidade é simples e fluida, você possui controle de dois personagens um gatinho (Catty) e um morceguinho (Batty) você precisa utilizar caixas de papelão para fazer um circuito, para os monstrinhos consigam chegar a porta de saída. Existem diversos obstáculos no jogo, portal que transporta o monstro para a posição inicial da stage, uma planta que faz todos dormirem, sendo necessário utilizar um dos dois personagens para acordar os monstros para que possam chegar ao final, entre muitos outros obstáculos que o jogo impõe.

Very relaxing and cute light puzzle game for one or two players. Had a lovely time!

Looking for some peacefull relaxing gameplay - welcome! Game itself can be challenging only if you want it. Adorable visual effects, nice animations and warming music. Emjoyed every second! I was very happy to find sepia option)

Wholesome experience for a 2 Co-Op game, it includes controller support and it runs pretty good. Good enough to play it with a casual friend.
