Dogfight

VERY short, VERY sweet game right here is what Dogfight is. The missions are only minutes long, the story as a whole the same. Graphics are nice and gameplay is fast pace and chaotic. Loved the game, beat it on the "normal" difficulty and will continue to try the harder difficulties. Multiple characters to play, co-op mode for those fans and speedrun times to test how quick you can complete it for those looking for more challenges. Would be neat to have a Boss Rush mode when you complete the game. Speed run boss rush mode would be a lot of fun imo.

Joguinho arcade com gráficos bem fofos e coloridos e uma jogabilidade muito divertida, sendo compatível com cooperativo local cm tela dividida!! Apesar de ser curtinho, vale mto a pena comprá-lo em uma promoção, pois dá pra perceber em cada nível o carinho que os devs tiveram cm o jogo, uma pena qse não ter visibilidade na loja, já qe ele foi mto bem feito e tem alta rejogabilidade. Cada nível conta cm um cenário diferente e cm um boss único no final, e conforme vcê progride, repete as fases e completa desafios vcê vai liberando uma gama de armas e especiais novos, qe mudam completamente uma partida da outra. Enfim, compre sem medo se vcê adora joguinhos shoot’em up clássicos.

A blast to play with friends and family, especially if you've got kids. And enough advanced options and difficulty settings to keep the more hardcore shmup fans happy. Scoring, speedrun, it's all here. Or if you just want to relax with some pretzels and friends, they've got a mode for that too! Two thumbs up!

A fun and frenetic game that takes me back to old-school arcade days dumping quarters in with friends to beat the bosses and make it to the end of a satisfying run. Since all the action is happening in one frame - it's easy to play co-op locally or through play-together. Could you beat it in one sitting - maybe. But there are enough upgrades and weapon types that what you had to slog through and barely live through could be MUCH easier and more fun with the right tools. Basically a nice distraction you can pick up and play as much or as little as you want in a sitting. Good fun, good art, good music - good times.

It's short and on the default difficulty, not particularly hard, but it does play well and has some neat features to encourage replayability. You have 4 characters to choose from, though they are purely cosmetic in difference. Up to 4 player local-only co-op is supported, but you could also use Steam Remote Play to play online with others off a single copy. Every level has a star rating based on how well you play and the more stars you collect across all your saves, the more of the rather extensive weapon catalog you'll unlock. Some weapons are definitely notably better than others, but it gives you a lot of different playstyles to experiment with and it's nice that it doesn't have to be done off a single save slot. Strangely, though Dogfight has a fairly robust scoring system, there are no leaderboards of any kind, offline or online. I'm not sure why they'd bother putting together a scoring system and then provide no way to track it. There is an interesting speedrun system where a timer is attached to each save and you can have the game increase its speed every time you kill an enemy (and decrease when you get hit), up to 1.6x normal speed to encourage shorter playtimes. There are also local stats tracked for your speedruns, which makes the lack of score leaderboards even stranger. Still, it's neat to see a game embrace speedrunning in its core mechanics like this. Honestly, the price for this is pretty steep given the content on offer, unless you want to play it multiple times through to get all the unlocks or compete for speedrunning times. It's not a bad shmup by any means and I enjoyed my time with it, but was surprised to see the price afterward.

Narrowly gets a rec from me. It's pretty competent, looks and sounds pretty good. On default difficulty with 5 lives I went in and one-shot all 10 levels in 45 minutes.. There is room to 5-star each of the missions, though you'd have to enjoy it more than I did to feel motivated to do that. The game recycles some of the same bosses and there was nothing too exciting going on with the level design. I felt the movement was a little too loose using the control stick of my Xbox controller, making it tricky to be precise. I wish the ship had a tiny bit more weight too it to remedy this. Great game, lots of fun! I definitely recommend it! One issue I have is that when playing multiplayer, one of the secondary controllers with stop working for about 20-40 seconds. It's kind of a bummer, and has happened on two totally different computers, with different controllers, so I'm pretty sure it's a software glitch. Anything the devs could do to fix this would be greatly appreciated. Still, it's a great game!

If you're looking for a game that you can have a blast playing with your friends, look no further than Dogfight! It helps if you love sausages, but even a vegetarian would give this game 10/10! Super fun, fast paced, and easy to understand. I heard the guys who made this game are pretty awesome too. Buy this right now!
