[h1] THE BEST TIME OF THE YEAR - EVEN IN APRIL![/h1]
I'm a little bit late to the Find All Christmas party, but this game was just as much fun to play in April as it would have been at Christmas! I have never been disappointed by any of the games in the series... BUT... I would absolutely love it if they went back to their roots to recreate a game like Find All 2: Middle Ages, which was highly interactive and kept expanding horizontally. That one had the coolest interactive puzzle at the end that made such an impression on me because it was like no other!
For those who have not yet discovered the Find All Series by Very Very Little Studio, you are missing out! Seriously, these games are highly addictive, and all it takes is one single Find All game to get you hooked! Even if you have doubts that this type of game is your cup of tea, chances are extremely high that you will buy the entire series and, like me, hope they never end!
At first glance, it appears to be a simplistic Hidden Object game with the most basic black-and-white sketched drawings imaginable. Once you start playing, you'll quickly realize that there's more to this game than meets the eye. The drawings are actually extremely detailed, with themed objects cleverly blended into the scenery.
You are tasked with finding a specified number of three different objects at a time, as pictured on the cards at the bottom of the screen. When you find all the items in a group, you can choose the next item to search for (Choose 1 of 3 Items). Finding all items in a category can be challenging, and I guarantee you'll be scouring the scene over and over, trying to find the last few items in a category you thought would be super easy.
If you give up and just can't find an object, there is an amazing Hint feature...with absolutely no Achievement penalties or deductions of any kind... No one will know but you! 😹 When you click the Hint button (located at the bottom, next to the pictured item cards), an arrow with the item's picture will appear on the screen. Drag the screen and keep following the directional arrow until you see a large, framed box. The pictured item will be located somewhere in the center of this box, but it's up to you to pinpoint the object. I actually prefer this method over showing the item's exact location. Unfortunately, you can't choose which of the three different objects the Hint will choose, but it does seem to pick the object that has been lingering the longest.
Toward the end of the game, as you find all of the objects in a particular section of the scene, those simplistic, black-and-white drawings begin to slowly fill in with beautiful, vibrant colors while becoming adorably animated as vehicles start driving around town, birds fly through the sky, and characters come to life!
I can assure you that this game, or any other game in the series, will be money well spent and well worth the entertainment value! (even tho Find All 2: Middle Ages is the best of "All")
