Loved how it kept going from the first game while still giving a different story, the bosses were a lovely idea and the fighting was alot better to, MEWS/10 game ^^
This is a really cool game imo! I've watched several people play it throughout my childhood, and I wasn't disappointed when I started to play it myself! It's everything I could've wanted tbh. It's like Stardew Valley, but cats. My Warrior Cats heart is happy rn.
que juego más tierno y divertido (˵◝ ⩊ ◜˵マ
Big world, fun characters and a blast for any cat lover.
I have played nearly 40 hours in less than a week. There are no thoughts. There is only cat. No but seriously, it's a great game if you like felines and highly customizable, relaxing games. From my experience, Cattails: Wildwood Story can be a bit overwhelming at first (as in it acts like you're making super-important decisions), but you can change pretty much everything that matters later at no cost, including: your cat's name, coat and accessories, den, the apperance of the town, colony details, and general settings like difficulty. I would say that the main story isn't very long or detailed, and the boss fights (yes, the cozy cat sim has boss fights with different attacks and status effects) were way easier than some of the mine levels, so I'd definitely recommend this more to completionists and those who just want to experience the game instead of rushing through (though there IS a pretty cool secret character or two unlocked by beating the main story). Some other notable things: - literally every adult cat who has a semblance of personality is dateable, even those you wouldn't expect to be (no spoilers though!) - and when you have kittens, they actually look like you and your partner - you can change pretty much everything about your den (including the floorplan) and town and, even though there aren't hundreds of items, different choices offer much different aesthetics - the length of day is customizable - NPC cats are active at different times of the day, and you can too! Nothing forces you to sleep at a set hour - also they comment on your other relationships, choices and when you're injured/hungry - surprisingly expansive skill system - a hunting minigame that can optionally be turned off in the settings - lightning/flashing effects can also be turned off - keeping your territory can be a grind, but there isn't really a penalty for taking it easy at first and losing tiles, so feel free to pick your fights and do it at your own pace - when you meow near someone, they meow back I don't know what else to add. It's 4 a.m. Just wanted to let people know that I randomly grabbed this game while it was on sale and completely fell in love with it. (Final word of advice; if you like mysterious black cats, it might be a good idea to save the Voidmarrow you get for later. There's also a cool item you can craft with it. Indeed, this cat game has crafting.)
I found that it was repetitive at times. The art of the cats is wonderful. There's strange pixel size mixing with the kittens. The rival marriages seemed really slow. I did every single achievement and there was only one marriage. I got it on sale so maybe I have a biased view but I enjoyed my time
the art. is so delightful. i have a save that I spent about ~130 hours on and haven't beaten the game nor have any legendary prey or bugs. i started a new save with a cat called Nepeta and named the coloney Leijon kinship. i beat the main story in 2 days. I have 4 legendary bugs and 4 legendary prey. praise be to the homestuck gods, she isn't even light aspect.
Wildwood Story took all the best parts of Cattails, revamped the fighting, mining, hunting, and made the world so beautiful. To go from a tiny indie rpg fan game for Warriors to this amazing sequel shows how much reverence the makers have for this title and the fans of the first game. I 100% recommend this game to anyone, not just Warriors fans. At the time of writing, I have nearly 600 hours in this game, continuing even after 100%ing because there is just so much to do and the world feels so lived in. The replayability is incredible, the story is fun, boss fights are actually quite tough if you don't grind, and customization options are even better than in the original. Overall, this is definitely my favorite game of all time, and it can be yours, too.
Cute game. Simple and fun.
It is the best game in the world other than minecraft. play both. but theres a bit of a spoiler i think
