About

Zoom through the many handcrafted worlds in this FPS Platforming Speedrunner! Learn to master your movement kit and leave your best times for others to challenge!
We reserve the right to wipe leaderboard times until full release!
Designed from the beginning to be approachable for players new to the genre, while still retaining the nuance and high skill ceiling that veterans can appreciate. Levels are designed to teach you everything you need to know, and will gradually push your skill level and nudge you to do things just a bit faster. By the end of the game, you'll be zooming through worlds like nothing.
Features movement tech such as air-strafing, bunnyhopping and surfing, popularized by Source-Engine titles such as Counter Strike, Half-Life, and Team Fortress 2! However, the game builds off of this movement drastically with its own mechanics such as sliding, surf jumps, wallkicks and more!
Featuring five unique worlds and over 75 carefully thought-out levels. Each levels teaches something new, brings a new idea to the table, presents a new challenge - no filler!
Fight for the best times against your friends and globally! Show off your times on the leaderboards, watch how others beat your times through the replay system, and race against other players' ghost times.
CatboyZOOM is a passion project developed primarily by myself, Ethan, with additional programming from my partner, Brae.
We're both avid enthusiasts of FPS platformers, particularly Source-movement, and have both been involved in movement gamemode communities for over a decade. Most of our time has been spent in the Team Fortress 2 jump community, where together we've published over 25 custom maps (and spent over 25k hours of our lives), and are core contributors to the Source movement community project Momentum Mod.
We both care deeply about making movement platforming that is extremely fun, satisfying, and rewarding - something that gives you the joy of just going really fast and executing a route well, but that also makes you wanna grind a single level for hours upon hours until you get that perfect run.

:3 its very enjoyable!
this games slick
Great Game. If you are a fan of time trials and fun movement tech, this game checks both those boxes insanely well. None of the levels are so long that restarting feels like a chore, so grinding out your lines and going for better times feels like a breeze. Coming from someone who has played a few hundred hours of surf(though still admittedly kinda bad) it still took me quite a bit of time to achieve platinum on all levels(almost 30 hours), with a few dev medals sprinkled in here and there.
You gotta go real fast, they added catgirl, and the level design is really open-ended with routing. Even if you don't love love time trial games this one is extremely accesible even for the mechanics that are usually really hard (surfing). The groundstrafing mechanic could be a bit better explained/tutorialized to show how mouse and WASD movements affect the speed, but you figure it out eventually. Great UI and super comfy minimalist graphics which don't get in the way of the super fun sliding, wall-kicking, surfing, and ramp jumping. !!! can't wait for more levels, my hand hurts though lol
rlly fun smooth :3
A game for speed obsessed movement lovers like myself. Really fun movement and a great chunk of levels. The surfing mechanics don't quite scratch that TF2/Counter Strike surfing itch but the rest of the movement in the game more than makes up for it. Really recommend this, having a fantastic time with it!
Holy moly this is good. Probably as good as first person parkour games get. D*gboys could never.
gay game
I don't write many reviews on here, but I had to give this a shout out just because of how committed and addicted I got to this game. If you want something to just ultra vibe with and wind down at night, get this game. I was always a console kid growing up, so this is my first intro to source movement and It got so so addicting, I somehow managed to get plat on every level. I will be a player for as long as new levels get uploaded!
I think it's really great. It definitely scratches that Surf itch i've been itching. I do wish there was maybe some areas that were just like, for playing around in rather than trying to get perfect times. I wanna be able to just fly around and zoom w no goals in mind. But it's good. Like really really really good. the only mechanic I have some issues with is the wall jump, it feels inconsistent. but I am also willing to bet a lot of that is just me not being very good at it. The levels with slow speed wall jumps at the start are my enemies (even if I did get a gold on them). If you are lookin for some fun very polished surfish kinda movement, this is 100 percent worth your time and money even in early access. It's absolutely great. :3 highly recommend (also I have some control and pain issues w my hand/arm and while some stuff has definitely been a problem for that, so far nothing as been impossible. so if you also suffer from hand pains or motion issues, but enjoy these kinda games or fondly remember cs surfin , I'd maybe give this one a shot, its demanding, but not mean, the wall jumps grrrrr! but everything else felt pretty fine if I take breaks!)
