Reviews
This game is incredibly fun. I've dabbled in both single player and multiplayer and really enjoyed it. It's great to be able to sit down and play a game of Catan without all of the setup. Seeing the table in VR, being able to lean in and get a closer look, is a great feeling! Catan has always been one of my favorite board games, and it's really awesome to be able to play in VR.
I bought this because it advertised cross-play, but as of right now there is no way for me to join my Quest friends with my Vive. I really hope this gets sorted out soon.

Honestly, this games good. You have good visuals, good tracking and an easy way to control your trades as well as whats on the board. If you're playing with friends, this game is a blast and one of the best ways to play catan. That is, if you're only interested in the base version of catan and its streamlined. But honestly the big problem with this game is that there is no playerbase. There is no option to play the game without a VR headset even though the option would increase player numbers. The amount of my friends that actually own VR is about 5 to 10 percent. Id recommend this game if it changed somehow, and got a larger playerbase. But in the meantime, I think I would recommend table top simulator and playing that, especially since you have base catan, as well as all the expansions, and you can play with your friends that dont have VR as well. The only thing you lose out on is the streamlined experience and user interface. Edit: Since you dont understand what im trying to say, is that because there is no option for non vr players to play, it will have limited success and population in comparison to a game such as table top simulator :)
Catan! very crispy and clear. I bumped up my graphics settings and I can read everything without experiencing a performance hit on my Vive pro. Well optimized, excellent sound effects, crisp graphics.
Advertised as cross-platform, but you can not invite your friends from another platform. Don't expect to play this with your friends that are using a different platform. It's only cross-platform on random matchmaking. Bad marketing.
This game DOES NOT let you play with your friends on multiple devices. It lumps you in a room with random people and there is no way to join a friends game if they're on a different headset. VERY VERY disappointing.
As a person who has never played Settlers of Catan before, this was a great way to play my first game of it. Graphics and controls were well presented. I do wish that the reference table with the different structures you can build would highlight the structures that you have the resources to build. This would make things a lot easier for newer players who aren't so familiar with the resource requirements. Otherwise, other than a few minor bugs I've noticed I have no complaints.
I bought this hoping to play with my friends on the Oculus. While this game does support cross-play it does not support cross-play with friends.
bought this because it claims cross-platform multiplayer but there wasn't a way to play with my friends who have quest T:
+It's The Popular board game CATAN in VR! +Fun! +Multiplayer +Nice Scenery while playing -Price for content -Not enough Players in Multiplayer -Other games (Table Top Simulator) Have this and more, meanwhile work multi-platform. -Doesn't have Expansions, or more than 4 player board. 2.5/5 *This Would Be Neutral If It Was An Option* A Good remake/port of a board game however sadly it seems a little muted as there is not a large playerbase, and other games out for VR have the same game in it, only allow play-ability multi-platform. Also the price for only getting the base game is kind of much. I would definitely recommend it to people who love the game and want to support it, however for those who just want to play it every now and then, I'd recommend staying away from it.
