About
Cataclysm: The Last Generation is a single-player turn-based post-apocalyptic survival game. Based on the all-time classic Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead, The Last Generation tells the story of a world where the dead walk, alien horrors stalk the land, and the fabric of reality as we know it has come undone. Despite all this, a few unlucky souls yet survive, and whether the last generation of humanity is destined to die off, or to become something fit to survive in this brave new world is up to you.
TLG's primary aim is to preserve Cataclysm's depth and respect for plausibility while refining what it has always done best as a game, foregrounding character progression and immersive life sim elements in a world that will put your survival skills to the test. Dig through the wreckage of shadowy government conspiracies to uncover the truth about the Cataclysm, form your own band of survivors, and adapt to the myriad threats by expanding your arsenal, installing military-grade bionics, or mutating into your own kind of monster.

i kill the zombie
Easier than the original but ultimately more fun.
You want mutants? We got mutants.
the graphics, controls and overall experience are absolutely cataclysmic to my mental health, i recommend!
CDDA these days feels like constant compromise for longer term players that wish certain features remained as they were. While this fork lacks some of the features I *did* enjoy from more recent updates, it also brings back a lot of things that make it feel very at home. I hope more mods get versions compatible with this branch over time, as well as tilesets being completed. For those that are new to Cataclysm in general, I recommend trying some of the free versions to see which suits you best. The Last Generation, however, is by no means a bad place to start!
Extremely good. C:TLG is a perfect balance between C:DDA and C:BN, in my opinion. Wormgirl herself is extremely helpful in the discussion board. If you aren't certain about buying, go get it for free from the github, then drop some cash here if you enjoy.
Please add Tileset: The Ultimate Cataclysm
Surprisingly challenging compared to the dda branch, even for a player who played nearly a thousand of hours since 0.E. I just do some Early game stuff and here are some points I dont really like: You need tinder to set on fire! So you can no longer burn a house to clear hordes of zeds. I agree with this nerf but why cant I light bushes? They are inflammable and leafs whether on or under it could be tinder! This is my favorite strategy making soldier zed step in fire and keepping myself out of melee combat when my skill was in low level. LOTS of recipes deleted. There are lesser choice for me, a typical melee lover. No more mercenary body armor and such. It's balanced but lesser fun. Crutial translation issues exists! 100% Chinese translated but some of them are completely wrong. Synthetic Fabric was mistakenly translated into Neoprene so there were two items named" Neoprene". There are more of these situations so English version might be the only playable version. Anyway, it's still a good branch. Realistic and more balanced. This is for someone who love this style. I might try this in the future, but not now yet. I'm not ready for this.
Project Zomboid, Caves of Qud, and Rimworld had a baby. The UI learning curve is god awful and you'll struggle greatly unless you're very patient or experienced with this kind of game. I am still running into many issues where the buttons I think are supposed to do one thing are not doing the thing. I can feel myself getting there, though. I was ready to put this game down until I decided ♥♥♥♥ the point buy character creation and just made an ungodly stat monster assassin now im killing zombies with Krav maga and a K bar. My character got depressed because he had to kill some zombie kids but is no longer depressed because one of them had some weed and a gameboy 8/10
Hitting a zombie at 100km/h with a food truck should be messier
