Wow, I didn't realize that I've played this for almost 3 hours already at the time of review. I don't know if I consider that to be a good thing or a bad one. As I usually like to do in my reviews of H-games, I want to look at Cat's Kiss as an actual game first. In that sense, I think it's really not that good. The only elements of actual gameplay you have are selecting dialog options, selecting places to try and make money, and spending said money on their story progression or useable items. Your sole purpose here is to make numbers on the left side go up in order to unlock more H scenes, and eventually get your ending. You can get most of the conversation points out of the way quickly, so you spend most of the rest of your time farming money. It's not particularly engaging, but in service to the H content I think it's fine. Just not the riveting gameplay I would usually be recommending. However, the H content here is really good. Like, strictly from a pornographic view point, this is some really high tier content. The main H interaction has a good amount of variety to what you can do, and the actions you can take slowly increase as you raise your relationship with your partner, which in a way I find cute. Admittedly the things you start out doing play into interests I already have so I may have a little bit of bias, but even beyond that I think the content is good. There are also a lot more unique scenes to unlock than I was expecting, at a certain point they just keep popping up, and it's almost funny sometimes when the ball gets rolling. I have to commend them for having scenes that feel well incorporated, most H games that use scenes like these usually have the scenes themselves feel out of place in the rest of the art style, and the manipulated joints look end up looking really bad- the artist for Cat's Kiss avoids these by keeping everything very consistent and properly the various stages of the H scenes rather than just slapping on a sloppy layer. One downside I'll say is that all the H content in this very vanilla. There's nothing necessarily wrong with that, I appreciate good vanilla content and this does deliver, but I feel like the premise of the game could have lent itself well to some slightly more exotic fetishes without really stepping out of line. Like, the pet play connection was right there, but alas. Not a real knock against it, but I could see someone going in with that expectation and being disappointed with the lack of that content given the premise. Overall, not a great "game" but pretty high quality on the H side of things. I recommend this as a more involved art tour if you're looking to get your rocks off. Do note that the gallery is actually quite difficult to unlock, so if you're looking to go back to the scenes you've unlocked it will take some effort to get there.

If you enjoy this, you need your hard drives checked. I left the game open for 2 hours to get the emotes, decided to load it up and try it later.... mistake. The animated model looks like a whole child.

KISS x CAT x GIRL! is a short, easygoing visual novel that revolves around a silly supernatural problem: a girl is trapped in a cat body, and you’re pulled into helping her live day-to-day while searching for a way out. If you’re expecting “gameplay” in the traditional sense, this is mostly reading with occasional choices. The pacing is calm and straightforward, so it works well for a relaxed evening rather than a marathon session where you want constant surprises. The story leans on humor and awkward domestic situations, and that’s where it’s most entertaining. It doesn’t try to take itself too seriously, and when it focuses on banter and reactions to the absurd setup, it’s genuinely charming. Choices give you some control over how scenes play out and which direction the relationship tone goes. The branching isn’t huge, but it’s enough to make a second playthrough feel different instead of identical. Visually, it delivers the standard VN package: anime-style character art, expressive faces, and a clean presentation that’s easy on the eyes. The music does its job in the background and helps keep the mood consistent without demanding attention. The main drawback is variety—once you understand the structure, you’re largely there for the writing and character appeal. Also, this is clearly aimed at an adult audience, so if you want something purely wholesome or family-friendly, the tone and content won’t match what you’re looking for. Overall, KISS x CAT x GIRL! is best treated as a compact, character-focused VN with a quirky hook and a light comedic vibe. Recommended if you enjoy short romance-leaning visual novels, don’t mind mature themes, and want something you can finish without a huge time commitment.

The art is pretty, which is good. However, the game lacks a gallery for unlocked CGs. The "gameplay" is also lacking---the loop is just to click buttons until your numbers go up. That's about it. This certainly isn't worth $15.
