Lemme preface that this game isn't bad and the price they ask is pretty fair. But steam doesn't ask us if we think we got our money's worth, but if we would recommend a game. And in that case the answer is no. This game rides the coat tails of other cleanup games, but it brings nothing new to the table. What you see in the first 5 minutes is all there is going to be. There is no "restoring of nature" where you heal the environment or anything like that. Everything looks exactly like you first encountered it, just without the black blobs. Most of the game is just vacuumig black blobs, which gives you nothing. No monetary reimbursement, no resources, no nothing, All that actually gives you resourced are random trash - but that trash is, as mentioned, random. You can complete an area 100% and that trash still pops up. It will never not pop up. Meaning no matter how toroughtly you clean, your cleaned areas will have fields of trash. But for what do you need the resources anyway? To buy tools to be able to remove other types of black blobs. Yay. It really seems like whoever made this didn't understand why people like cleanup games, how turning a destitute landscape into a lush paradise was fulfilling. They just thought "oh people like to vacuum up blobs, let's do that". This whole game feels like someone that doesn't play games thinking "oh people like that? lets put that in". The charactes being a cat has absolutely zero in game relevance. It's a CEO thinking "people like cats? put that in!" As for quality-of-live tools, you get a radar with a very short range even fuly upgraded, so swimming at full speed you're outside it's range once it completed. The map doesn't tell you jack where there's pollution, and there's no way to upgrade it. Which means that if you're at 90%+ completion of an area, you just swim randomly around hoping to find an area you missed, likely spamming the radar button for the audio cue to alert you something was were you were several second ago, just to find out it's one of those random trash heaps that never vanish and don't count to completion. Also, for some reason, with the default config of borderless fullscreen, that game run like absolute ass. 20 FPS at max, but with so many frame drops and camera jumps it was more like 2 FPS once you moved the camera. Changing it to windowed or "fullscreen" (in quotes as it isn't fullscreen, it's literally the same as windowed, but with a maximized window. Still window decorations tho) it ran fine, 72 FPS. But why the hell would non-decorated window run like ass and decorated windo run smoothly?
