I've been playing this game for a few hours. It definitely has potential. Here are the good points: -A lot of weapons, and most of them have their own utility. Way of playing however you want. -A large variety of troops. You have standard soldiers, heavy robots, then Mechs, Tanks, drones, and finally Walkers. This makes for a diverse army that you can use. -Maps are really large. You will have a lot to explore! -The tutorial perfectly explains how the game works. Following it helped me a lot. With how few RTS/FPS games exist, it's nice to see another one that focuses on mostly solo players, and at the time I'm writing this, a campaign seems to be in the making. There are a few issues, though: -It's hard. I usually am not complaining about difficulties in game, but it's really impossible to survive 10 waves (the minimum) in the waves game mode. You're supposed to eventually build other buildings out of your first base to start mining more. However; you only have 150 seconds before the first wave to build everything you might need early on, and then only 30 seconds between waves. You also don't get ressources fast enough to catch up with enemy troops. At the fifth wave, I only had two mechs and around ten riflemen, and maybe two/three turrets. Meanwhile the enemies had three or four mechs, and a giant army supporting them from all sides. It's clearly too difficult and will scare most players. -The AI in this game is unfair. Your troops, if you don't give them the right orders, somehow turn incompentent and will completely ignore the enemy. Sure, it's your duty to give them orders. However it's really difficult to give the right orders at the right time under fire and with how little time you're given. Meanwhile the enemy AI can easily tear you apart from way too far. Not only are you at a disadvantage in terms of numbers, you're also given teammates who saw guns for the first time! Do I recommend it? Well... It's definitely a game that needs to be checked on often, it's good looking and the principle is fun. However it's tough at the moment, you'll easily get stomped in the waves gamemode. If you want to have a better experiment, try the Assault gamemode which gives you more freedom. But it'll still be hard! So, if you like the RTS/FPS genre, give it a try. But get ready to get slapped by loads of enemies!
Ai is way to hard and there has been no updates for a long while now pretty sure we got scammed. game seems like it has decent premise but lacks alot of features. mainly needs to start with the ai and tone them down
bro it does't even teach you how to play in training HOW DO YOU SET IT UP SO YOU CAN LOSE THE TRAINING BEFORE YOU KNOW HOW TO PLAY?!?!
Reviews make it out to be a game combining RTS and FPS like Natural Selection but in reality it's just a squad shooter were you give direct orders to AI squad members and deploy base structures that pump out better units while the enemy AI outnumbers you 30 to 9 and is laser accurate preventing you from passing the tutorial or maneuvering the battlefield with your squad. The concept was attractive but the exicution fell flat. maybe in the future this will get ironed out but for not it's not with my money.
A solid RTS/FPS hybrid that forces you to consider the environment when tackling any objective. The variety of assets you have will have you toying with various strategies in the game like occupying buildings that oversee an entrance to an objective, or setting up a defensive line of turrets, or even hunkering down with a massive heavy walker. You also have a bit of a tech tree that you unlock with points you earn in the game, most of it being weapons that you can equip to certain soldiers or bring in yourself. If you are like me and was very disappointed when Tiberium was canceled, then this game is for you.
Complete waste of time. Not worth the money.
It feels like a rote military shooter with real-time strategy elements awkwardly shoved on top (e.g., base building, resource gathering, commanding troops, etc.). However, it fails to blend the FPS and RTS elements together in a satisfying way, or even explain how the heck everything works, making for a frustrating experience. It feels like a textbook example of how NOT to do a genre mishmash/hybrid. I knew it was in Early Access purgatory and still being sold for full price when I got it, which feels scummy and greedy. However, I was hoping it might still hold some unique value as a morbid curiosity, but sadly it doesn't even offer that. Hard pass!
The gameplay was good but it still need to improve, there is a big potential in this game, just wait for the upgrades
the game feels like a passion project by somneone who had a very original idea, the game is not finished but it feels very cool, difficulty for the single player skirmishes is very hard even on easy. If you know a person who is interested in ArmA III, C&C, any rts or squad game needs to be recommended to them
